OT: The best TV show nobody watched

170 posts in this topic

I was loaned the DVD set of Firefly (Joss Whedon) by a friend recently, and watched all of the episodes as well as the movie Serenity. I am amazed that this TV show was cancelled before the end of it's first season, it really is good. If you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend it. Your biggest dissapointment will be when you run out of episodes to watch.

My favorite show nobody watched was "Flying Blind". It was only on Sunday nights at Midnight. But it started a young Téa Leoni. cloud9.gif

I haven't seen it since it was first aired in 1992-3.

To this day I remember a scene where a guy on the show told Tia's character he dried off after showers by vibrating his body.

Freaks and Geeks. Great show, with the same writer as The 40 Year Old Virgin. Cancelled after one season. mad.gif

I agree 100%....there were even two or three episodes on the DVD that were never aired...all brilliant. How can you not like a series that ends with a Grateful Dead song

Oh and when I was a kid I liked a show called "Automan"....saw the series once and then never again. Would love to see it again

The last show, while not planned as a series finale, actually worked out pretty well as a closer. I need to buy those DVDs.

I vote for Millenium. I think it survived three seasons before getting pulled. Very creepy show starring Mr. Creepy himself Lance Henrickson.

As much as I liked it, very few people that I knew seemed to follow the show at the time, but its developed quite a "cult" following since its demise. I'm sure the executives at Fox were surprised when it actually survived the difficult Friday evening time slot during its first season.
