Two more in today's mail from @GACollectibles.  My dad was a railroad man, so I'm always pleased to pick up an Association of American Railroads publication.

Andy's tag got me motivated to dig through the old boxes.  Here are a couple of items that are almost unique.  The first is a collection of editorial cartoons from Ben Thompson who drew the Masked Marvel & others for Centaur.

Here's a Catechetical Guild book that isn't illustrated, but fits well with the others.

A bargain at twice the price.

Just the second copy I've ever seen.

From the esteemed collection of the late apex dealer/collector Phil Levine.

Phil had an eye for the very rarest.

Doubt we will see another one of these soon, although this price might shake one or two out. Ha ha, right!

Vital publications usually had pretty widespread distribution with multiple editions. Wonder if this was a tryout/test run?

Hi all -- you may remember some of my posts from earlier this year where I found a couple of rare comic books in my dad's belongings...well, I just got this back from CGC...it's now the highest graded copy of Sidewalk Romance (out of two graded copies)!   It has been a fun experience and I appreciate all the great and kind people who have helped me out with guidance and advice along the way.

Not so far as I am aware.  There were actually lots of bakeries that used the Peter Wheat brand... Krug, Sterling, Rice, Bell, and several others have their own distinct branding.

I love bread end labels and other bread premiums. Here are some of my Disney bread end labels from the 1950's:

And these cool Warner Bros. cards were free inside loaves of Wonder Bread in 1974:

Eleven cards from the thirty card set were DC Comics characters and nineteen were from Looney Tunes cartoons.

Moreover these double sided Warner Brothers Maze Puzzle cards issued with Wonder Bread in 1975 are over-the-top fabulous!

Six of the cards feature DC comic characters while fourteen feature Looney Tunes cartoon characters.
