In 1991, I was living with a friend who also collected FF. At that year's KC con, we both completed our collections; mine with #1, and his with #12. Still to this day, the greatest day I've had in the hobby, and I'm reminded of it every time I see FF 12.

I always thought that if Stan and Jack had made them Russian cosmonauts instead of super-apes, they could have ended up as epic FF villains.

I get what you’re saying, but there’s a soft spot in my heart for bogglingly goofy supervillains like the Super Apes, and Stilt-Man, and Egg Head.
