I finally got my first cgc book

Yeah, but once you get rollin'... that's where they git ya! insane.gif

My 1st CGC was actually a lot of 6 different books, of which I don't really recall what they were -- mostly "modern junk", I think. Except for that broken "Wolverine: Wizard World Texas", in a 9.2... the packing tape on it really helped to hide the damage to the slab, thanks !

My 2nd CGC though was the 1990 McFarlane classic: Spider-Man #1 in a 9.9!

... the very 9.9 that I have listed in my #1 set as noted below! thumbsup2.gif

Mooo-HA-HA... Muh-ha-ha-ha! devil.gif <sinister laughing insues... and so on and so forth>

Hey this could be a neat-o thread... what else? What other 1st timer CGCs were out there? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

My first cgc books!!

House of Mystery #187 (CGC 9.4) - old label

House of Mystery #218 (CGC 9.4) - old label

New Gods #1 (CGC 9.0) - old label

I paid $100 for the three books. The guy didn't know what he had! These books look better than 9.4 and 9.0. CGC was hard on the grading in the early days!!!

My first 3 were submitted at 2006 SDCC. They were:

Marvel Zombies #1 (First Printing) Signed by Kirkman & Suydam, 9.8

Marvel Zombies #1 (Second Printing) Signed by Kirkman & Suydam, 9.6

Marvel Zombies #1 (Third Printing) Signed by Kirkman & Suydam, 9.8

And I just mailed in two for the first time:

Justice League of America #1 (Turner Variant) - Don't know grade yet

Heroes SDCC panel giveaway - Don't know grade yet

We'll see how those look. This is getting really addicting. Come X-Mas time I anticipate to send about 10 in. I've never sold anything before, so that'll be a first too when the time comes.
