4GEMWORKS
Does anyone know about this 15 cent variant? The only other one I have heard about was in this heritage auction. Is this a Canadian variant or something else? Has anyone seen any others? I don't know anything about it but noticed that DTAcol had one for sale on the bay the other night. He said it was the only one he know of. Guess there are at least two... Does anyone know about this 15 cent variant? The only other one I have heard about was in this heritage auction. We all know there were not print runs of 1 of any issue at any price. The only question is how many survived.. I would think there are a handful of each around somewhere.. As soon as some of the rarer 30 cent Marvel variants started fetching high dollars they seemed to come out of the woodwork. Point being, if 6k for a #4 in VG did not surface any other copies there must be very few indeed. If number 3 and 4 have variants I might also think 1 or 5 or 6 might have variants as well. 4GEMWORKS
Not stuff you usually find in your LCS, unless you are in NYC I guess...

pooroldman
Mines low grade, but I'm just happy to have a copy Kind of makes you wonder what was going on at Dell in 1940-- did someone just say, "Hey, lets try raising the price of a few comics by 50% in certain markets and see what happens?" Seems unlikely, especially since the typical purchasers of comics would be especially sensitive to this sort of increase. What would the reaction have been when distributors/retailers got wind of the fact that the cover price of their comics was increased, yet the prices in other markets remained the same? If it's been established that these were not Canadian copies is it possible they were printed domestically for sale in some other English-speaking country or an American territory? By the way, nice copy of FC4, Montezuma-- it sure doesn't look low grade in the photo.

4GEMWORKS
More Missing Four Colors analyzed Ben Casey (#1) This does not have the coding inside where the issue number begins and is followed by several more. This was the first issue ever and may , in fact, be a number 1 and not missing. Edited February 24, 2016 by 4GEMWORKS
4GEMWORKS
Pixie Dixie and Mr Jinx This was a series that had run through Four Color and since the 7 digit code is listed as the issue number I m confident that this is a missing issue. 4GEMWORKS
Beany and Cecil This does not have an issue number listed making one think it might be number 1 and not missing. However, it had been a previous Four Color series with no outside numbered issues. Also there is probably more documentation that this specific issue was missing that it almost must be considered. It also had issues 2,3 and so forth follow and is thus a hybrid. I think you must go on record as saying this MIGHT be missing but not without reservation. 4GEMWORKS
Cain's Hundred This was number 1 of a short lived title. Yet it does not have an issue number versus the seven digit code. This leads me to believe this might actually be Cain's Hundred #1 and not a missing Four Color.
4GEMWORKS
King of Diamonds This does not have an issue number and might be considered #1. Yet it was a one shot, typical of Four Color. Therefore I throw this in with the issues that MIGHT be missing but cannot necessarily be verified.
4GEMWORKS
This was a long running title within Four Color and also has the seven digit code as the issue number. I would definitely classify this within the missing Four Colors.
