that seems like a good place to pause.

 

Looking back at this period (120-200) reminds me how bland the 70's really were. Yes, Aparo's art was good, but these stories have little to no continuity, and the stories were very formulaic.

 

With all that being said, It was the only title I bought continuously from 1974. I must have enjoyed it.

 

Brave and the Bold was the first title I collected. I never completed a run, but I enjoy collecting it still today.

I appreciate the man's talent but I never was a Jim Aparo fan. Even back in the 70s/80s. Funnily enough, I recently acquired a copy of B&B # 102. About halfway through the first story (Teen Titans), I said to myself "Aparo's art has gotten much better. Not nearly as "stiff" as his art usually seems. Must be a different inker. It almost looks Adamsesque". Then I got to the letter's page. :)
