This is an outstanding cover -- you should be very pleased as it's a pretty copy and sold for a reasonable price! :applause:

I like the L. B. Cole cover of All-Famous Crime 5 from 1952 enough to post it here too -- but not on the Short Bus this time!

Been a while since I posted some books. These are some recent or at least fairly recent acquisitions from all kinds of sources. A few from some fellow boardies :) Four of them just won and on their way.

I got these from a fellow Boardie. They just arrived and are in beautiful shape. These may be in the 9.6 range.

Also, I saw this book and just had to have it.

Finally, a Big Shot ww2 cover I have been trying to get my hands on for a while.

Thanks for the kudos on the book.

Busy as %^&

Getting ready to leave, trip to WI, catching up, part of a conference today and hosting a Nobel Prize winner's (!) visit tomorrow.

Just haven't had time for funnybook stuff lately. The box w/ the Cole book sat unopened for over a week!

Those are great!

Cole, or Cole-esque? He liked the diagonal chase across the cover.

Spurs Jackson! Funniest mixed-genre book of all.

Nope - this 32 below was a similar book that belonged to Ciorac, which I was fortunate to acquire earlier this year. Another great example of a ww2 Big Shot cover (and by far one of my top 3 ww2 themed covers overall).

D'oh! I'm confusing Sparky Watts with Joe Palooka.

I'd take Boody Rogers over Ham Fisher (assuming he drew the cover of #32 -- his name isn't on the slab), but they're both great WWII covers.

Yeah, right -- if the expansion of the earth doesn't shut us all down first.
