It's a common distributor's mark, not necessarily indicative of any particular pedigree.

Any idea what it meant to the distributors?
Usually referred to the destination (usually a small geographic area) where the books be would sent to. The Church codes are among the fanciest having the destination, distribution date and quantity of an issue.
