Hello Pal is an odd comic. The covers give the impression that the contents are going to be lighthearted fare, but in fact the comics are surprisingly full of violence.

Among the contributors to issue #1 are Charles Sultan, Harry Sahle, Bob Powell and Art Cazeneuve.

Quite a bit of the original art to the series has survived.

I believe that the artwork to the following Charles Sultan story is owned by Jon Berk.

And James Halperin owns the art to the Rocketman story.

Heritage has also sold many other stories in recent years.

Thanks for the insides of the now mystical Hello Pal series.

While looking around to remember the title of a comic posted on the board a while ago, I came across these I thought to share in this thread. This is Jimmy Thompson's work in the series Indian Lore that ran in Magic Comics. This is from issue # 22.

Absolutely marvelous. It's very stately -- dignified in the best sense of the word.

Thought you'd like it. Isn't Thompson the artist on that fantastic one-shot you have a copy of ... and which I am wondering is the answer to one of BZ's quiz question. You know, the very colorful cover with a frame border of a Native-American on a horse. Could you repost that please?

I thought you'd never ask! :luhv:

I have 3 different scans of this book and each of them is flawed by not properly registering one or more colors. I love the cover and the story.

I thought so but I wanted visual evidence.

I feel like a boob on these even thought that hand on a horse is driving me nuts. I've seen the guy smoking somewhere as well and that skeleton is familiar but I'll be darned if I can place any of these. I am losing my mojo
