Thank You

A little more info also, slightly off coloered and centered staples with no tears or bleeding, has no spine tears, but some stress

That's kind of what I was thinking, solid 4 maybeeee a 4.5, but hoping for 5

TY

I don't think that is an unrealistic hope. The book appears to be a solid 5.5 / 6.0 without the sub-crease. The sub-crease isn't that heavy and thanks to the white area in the center of the cover, the crease isn't as distracting as it could be otherwise.

I think 4.0 is very harsh and I highly doubt it would grade out that low. I've seen plenty of CGC 5.0s with sub-creases, so it is not out of the question. I can't see it going lower than 4.5 worst case.

In regard to a 5 vs 3 or 4, I don't think the sub crease by itself is the major concern, but rather the other problems when combined with the crease. I agree that it presents well, however a 4 is a much more likely grade when stress lines, and other creases are taken into account, nothing so bad that it would drop it to a 3.0, but enough to reduce it from a 5 to a 4
