I thought it was a 8.0-8.5

I don't see anything preventing a 9.0

 

Granted the scan is a little small.

My first glance was 8.5.

Looks like a small dent in ULC (judging from back cover). Small amount of rounding on three corners. I'd say 7.5, possibly 8 depending on severity of dent.

My head tells me 8.0. but my heart says 8.5.

8.5-9.0. some rounded edges and what appears to be spine creases on the front cover, just at the top and bottom of the top staple. the mini spidey's right leg makes it a little easy to see.

I agree about the stress lines above and below the top staple, and the dented top left corner. And is that a scuff or dirt on the FC in the yellow area the right of THE PUNISHER type?

 

It's a nice book. I'm finding that scanners tend to exaggerate the dirt and bends, and can make a sweet, clean book look a little tired and worn. So maybe this graded higher. I hope so!
