  1. I like the Flash covers but tend to buy them for Hawkman.
  2. I think Fawcett comics set a high standard that other comic companies couldn't reach. From America's Greatest...
  3. My copy is a little rough but it has a little extra room at the top of the cover.
  4. ...but he has a really nice car. We should have a Weird Romance thread.
  5. Obviously, Siegel wrote the story and Shuster drew it. I seem to have reversed the names in the above comment years ago. But I do like Shuster's early art. I wish he had been able to continue, like Raymond and Foster but his efforts were diluted by Ghost artists and he spent more time drawing faces.
  6. I am a big fan of World's Finest and enjoy the variety in each issue. You can get Batman stories with Sandman and Superman.
  7. I must admit this is one of the things that frustrates me. Some books on ebay are not graded correctly. An issue with a missing centerfold will not be bid on fairly if the flaw is not identified. I did see a book that I might have bid on if the price were lower. I am showing example pages and a copy that I have which has the centerfold .
  8. Covers by Foster weren't very impressive but they were probably just blow ups of a panel and not a cover. Other artists did a great job making covers for Tip Top.
  9. Another strip that has been very popular is Tarzan. I have a lot of strips by Hogarth and some by Foster but Rex Maxon drew the first Sunday strip. The daily strip was reprinted in the Tarzan Book No. 1. Strips were also found in Tip Top and Sparkler. I saw these on line.
  10. Those are pretty cool books even without a cover but you should probably also list them in the golden age for sale thread.
  11. That is part of a great run of books...

  13. I think Back to the Klondike is pretty close to an expansion of the origin story. So I would pick Scrooge FC 456 as the third jewel.
  14. I read the first two Christmas Parade stories in reprints but the last Christmas Parade issues were in my original collection.
  15. Price is different. Is your book a giant (76 pages or more)? Are those staples in the spine? Original is square-bound. Do you have the letter to Santa story?
  16. I don't know what makes Buck Rogers issues so appealing. I think the art is unique or original and keeps that early scifi pulp tradition alive. I like all of them but I haven't got a complete copy of the first issue yet.
  17. I remembered the change but didn't remember the source. Thanks. Barks also used the Larkies for one of his paintings.
  18. I like the War comic that was included with the Comic Book Killer. It isn't really golden age but its signed by Schomburg and Lupoff.
  19. and I think this US Marines cover is very impressive but not sure who did the art. Oops, that was Craig Fessel doing the are for ME. He signed a lot of the interior art and that is a pretty good Sandman pose.
  20. I like this Flame Thrower cover by Baker.
