  1. When I was young, I collected the Flash Gordon strips by Mac Raboy. I mutilated most of those strips to make a toy recommended by my Cub Scout manual, I think, but found many replacements at Mr. 3 Ls antique shop in Paradise PA.
  2. Buck became a Sunday page in 1930 and started as a daily the year before. I think Flash started as a Sunday page in 1934. Raymond transferred from the very successful Tarzan strip to his own creation, Flash Gordon. I like the early Buck Roger comics and many of the Flash Gordon comics with art by Raymond.
  3. I have never liked the acid free boxes. They seem to be more fragile or less sound structurally. The hand grips tear easily. Perhaps money is better spent on mylar and buffered backer boards.
  4. Lub job is an oil change, the guy who does the work or the garage where it is done.
  5. and who is the Phantom Rider? Could he have changed his name from Ghost or were they just related?
  6. Looking for All Star Comics for sale or trade. I have a small group of coverless that I could trade. I need the following: All Star 8, 9, 20 21, 28, 29, 30, 36, 38, 48, 54, 55, 57 Looking for coverless, incomplete or complete...or just covers. (Somebody traded for an AS 55 but still looking for the other All Stars. Lots to traded or will buy.)
  7. Looks pretty good Do you have the centerfold?
  8. You must also be a Lizard fan. There aren't that many villains wearing a lab coat but he seems to look good in it.
  9. I probably like Hit covers more than others but have more Police and Plastic Man than the other titles.
  10. Nice scan and great color. The Spirit is a fun series to collect. Did you have any of the newspaper comics? I found a few of the comic book size and the tabloids.
  11. Unfortunately several pages are missing from the comic book plus file for Feature 27. Help is still needed. What are the ad pages. a photo or a note would help. Doesn't need to be a good scan.
  12. Fred did such great work for Smash but I think he borrowed this splash for Marksman.
  13. Does anyone have a scan of the inside front and inside back covers of Feature Comics 27. That issue contains the first Dollman story but I am just trying to identify the ads on the inside.
  14. I like those early WF issues and the middle 30-70 numbers too.
  15. Still not a golden age comic but looks like one, I like the Lupoff-Schomburg collaboration found in "The Comic Book Killer".
  16. The early Shadow covers are fun because they are from the pulps and the later covers by Powell are pretty good too.
  17. I didn't know the story was reprinted but it definitely was edited. The Cattle Kate story from Woman Outlaws is at the bottom of the page. I think Kate was also in the Fox giant.
  18. I think many of the Bugs stories are pretty good but I think the early stories in LMM are better than the later ones.
  19. I still don't have the first issue but I have a few extra pages that may be from there but probably from early Famous Funnies.
  20. I had two copies of BB 12 but I sold one on eBay. I still have a complete copy of Blue Beetle 12 which is in very good shape.
  21. Feldstein and others contributed some pretty good good girl art.
  22. Yes, that is what I meant. I have Fantastic 4 but don't have 3.
