  1. Edmond Hamilton also wrote stories for Batman 75,76,77,78, 83 and 85. A few books from the B box. Blue Beetle had to be moved to another box.
  2. September, October, No wonder...free association at work, I think. I am a big fan of Red Ryder and his BB-Gun so how about this back cover? When or where was it published?
  3. . Captain Future's author, Edmond Hamilton, has lots of stories in Strange Adventures and they used his name on the cover (e.g. Chris Kl-99).
  4. I have two covers but only one complete copy.
  5. I have to remind myself that the robot is the "good" guy. Has there been a Bergey reprint book.
  6. I added a new favorite cover to my EC box. Science and Fantasy aren't the same but EC used the genre to promote public awareness which probably added to the reasons for censorship.
  7. I like both of those covers. I have the Wow 9 in poor condition but the cover is bright and glossy. The first story was a Chistmas story.
  8. I'm wondering whether Sprang's tiger has some extra toes (see previous post). It is usually 4 up front and one in back on the front paws. Perhaps there are polydactyl tigers.
  9. The B box was filled with Batman and the D box was filled with Detective. Someone reminded me recently that the small logo Detective issues had some pretty good art by Sprang.
  10. Several years ago I tried to post my comics alphabetically but didn't get past the "mnop" box. Here is an old "A" mix.
  11. Does anyone like the first four stories by Barks?
  12. I've been looking for the Teenage Romance at the end of your wall display. How much?
  13. I enjoyed the Disney giant comics a little more. The stories all shared a theme a lot of season games and puzzles were included. I had to replace many of my brothers comics after I did the puzzles and cut out paper toys.
  14. I have an animated version of the cover but looking at it makes me dizzy. One of my copies is a little beat up but this one is very fine.
  15. My little brother and I were big fans of the Barks Christmas Parade stories. I also liked all of the other issues.
  16. I like many of the stories by Barks but choosing a couple of issues is pretty tough. My fondness for Magic Hourglass FC 291 and Uncle Scrooge 5 probably tops the bunch. Reading them are some of my earliest memories and they are great stories too. I think Forbidden Valley DD 54 would be a close 3rd. I read all of those when I was young and just starting to read. I purchased the rest of the FC comics and purchased reprints that probably should get a mention. The Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck giants published by Gold Key had FC 29 and FC 189 which were a thrill to read and worth my quarter. So stick with FC 291 and US 5 but happy to have all of them in my collection.
  17. I have them both but they are pretty beat up.
  18. I don't think it is complete but the splash for the Scarecrow story is still there.
  19. I have a World's Finest 2 and the cover which was glued on originally has been detached. The interior is stapled together with two large staples. My copy of 3 and 6 are the same.I think the cardboard covers were glued on until issue 17. bb
  20. I like adding CC 6 to my group of Comic Cavalcades. The salvage ads by the main characters.makes it special.
  21. Wouldn't that be called a car boot sale.
  22. I have seen the propeller spin torture a few times on the cover but this WW story is the first time I have seen it used in a story.
  23. Almost every early Ditko cover seems to be a classic.
