  1. It is difficult to get bright colors on any of the Fiction House titles but Planet seems to be the most rewarding.
  2. Thanks for posting. I have three of those but never seen the other two or not very often.
  3. I also like the other paper toys I have seen. I have found the funny animal toys more frequently than the Captain Marvel toys and puzzles.
  4. I am perfectly happy to own one of them and a bunch of other horror comics. Heck did a lot of similar covers.
  5. I should get my copy of Zip 24 graded. They all seem pretty rare. My 9 is just a recreation. Many of those stories in Zip and Pep are outrageous but Montana's art was always top quality.
  6. Well there are multiple items in the pic but just focusing on completed puzzles and boxes.
  7. OK, lets not forget the Big Red Cheese...Fawcett understood marketing. An extra comic, an extra heroine and Santa Claus on the cover made it difficult to pass by the Shazam Man without paying a hard earned dime.
  8. and I really like those Superman books...
  9. Any run with All-Star 13 is pretty good. What a nice story. The other two aren't too shabby either.
  10. and which part of All-American and Action is nice enough, well any...
  11. Weird Science and USA are pretty nice. I like the middle of the JSA run.
  12. Some of my Batman comics are pretty shabby but any run is a favorite.
  13. I have picked up these three Blue Beetle comics from three different sources. Issue 8 was free, i.e., gift from a dealer to a loyal customer.
  14. Someone asked about Perfect Crime 23. It is one of my favorites too.
  15. I found a copy of Crime Does Not pay 24 in my True Crime Annual. It also had CDNP 22 but I already had that one. Still Looking for CDNP 23. The Complete Book of True Crime is actually a Crime Does Not Pay Annual. I kind of wonder why two books cost $.25 instead of $.20 but I guess this means it was really popular
  16. How about a D-Day cover that appeared a year early. Boy Commandos had an invasion issue (4) that appeared in the summer of 1943.
  17. Just wondering whether Showcase 4 lived up to the editorial in Showcase 1. What was in the future of Showcase?
  18. I purchased that issue and 7 others from a big box of Argosy mags. They were all pretty nice but I didn't have room for more in my motorcycle bag. There are a lot of early issues with ERB stories hidden inside.
  19. I have a few of those CC comics and enjoy CC 5 the most. I am also happy I found the issue with a Solomon Grundy story. I have a few pages of some and only have a duplicate cover of CC 9.
  20. This is what it feels like to sell something from my collection.
  21. I like this nifty ad found in the Handbook.
  22. I sold my copy of The Thing 17 but wish I had not.
  23. His early work was also in Black Magic.. .
  24. Ditko's covers for the Thing were pretty good.
