  1. 6.5 If those are rust stains or some type of foxing they won't come out.
  2. Better question is "do I want to spend the money for it?" If you are hoping to flip it in a year then save your 20 bucks.
  3. There are so many out there that they might as well be considered as a variant cover. Maybe a 1/25 book or less.
  4. I was thinking the circular indentation on the back is a manufacturing error. if not then it may drop to 9.4. Even with the black ink (which can be removed easily if you really wanted) and the extremely small crease on the front, I don't see it grading anything less then a 9.4.
  5. The biggest issue is the shadowing on the front and back. I would call it at 7.0. The seller was being kind with his grading. The page quality is very good as well.
  6. Wow. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I would estimate at least a one point drop in the grade.
  7. If I had the money to spend I would send it for a press and clean and see what happens. Its part of the fun of collecting right??
  8. This should give you some idea. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-The-Dark-Knight-Returns-1-4-1st-prints-FINE-VF-Frank-Miller-DC-Comics/223608437807?hash=item341019fc2f:g:K5YAAOSwLxldQ1Qq
  9. Lots of color rubbed off among other things but looks to be around 5.5- 6.0 to me. But being left in the bag there could be something I'm not seeing. If someone jumps on that book before you then good for them. They may regret it later.
  10. I'm with the 2.0 crowd. I don't think a press would help.
  11. Without the piece missing it would probably grade 4.5. With the piece missing, I would guess it would drop 2 grades. It isn't a huge piece missing and is not that distracting. Now if the back cover has issues it could drop more, but 2.5 seems a fair grade to me.
  12. I would say around 7.0. It looks to be pretty flat and clean other than the spine and corner. I don't think a press would improve the grade.
  13. Wow the CGC gods smiled upon you today. I would have graded 7.0 as well.
  14. Lots of edge wear, but no wear around the staples! 4.0
  15. I personally would hold off on slabbing those books. I can find that Major X book on eBay for 10 dollars + shipping. Not worth slabbing unless its for your personal collection..
  16. When I had an online subscription I would browse through all the upcoming releases every few weeks.. Books are usually posted months in advance. I am also a cover collector so I would mainly browse the upcoming covers. if you wanted to browse variants the easiest thing to do would be a search through eBay.. Find out which store is actually selling the variant and buy through them. eBay should be a last resort for upcoming titles when buying.
  17. If that Is the only flaw, I can see it grading 9.2. But as the previous poster suggested, a proper press can fix that.
  18. it's not too bad of shape other than the Marvel chipping. I will say 4.0.
