  1. Hi I do not know the answer to this question. So, my instructions are to refer you to customer service. You can either call, e-mail, text, or start a thread in the Ask CGC section. Mike
  2. From the FAQ When can I submit my autographed magazines for combined CGC and JSA certification? Combined CGC and JSA certification services for magazines as well as pulps and concert posters are currently in development, and will be among the next CGC x JSA offerings. Services and pricing for magazines, pulps and concert posters will be announced in the coming months.
  3. I see you are asking about a magazine submission. Somehow, I missed that part. Sorry about that. Combined CGC and JSA certification services for magazines as well as pulps and concert posters are currently in development, and will be among the next CGC x JSA offerings. Services and pricing for magazines, pulps and concert posters will be announced in the coming months.
  4. Hi I recommending starting a new online submission form. Where it says Show On-site Grading, click on the drop down and click on Hero's Con-onsite Grading. Authentication and Grading are under Primary services. If you still have a problem, someone should be able to assist you with this at our booth. Mike
  5. Hi Here is some info from our web help team. The only thing we see is that when the JSA addon is selected, custom labels are then unavailable (due to JSA books getting their own label). Please relay in a post that when JSA is selected that Custom Labels are then unavailable. If people are continuing to have issues please try to get screenshots, CS numbers etc. so that we can continue to troubleshoot any possible issues. As far as the newsstand option, it does look like there is a bug that has caused the checkbox to have disappeared/not show. We have put in a MX ticket to get this looked into and fixed. In the meantime customers should continue to submit their books and if they have newsstand variants they will be addressed/put in by the graders. We will contact you as soon as this bug has been addressed and fixed.
  6. I’m happy to let you know that we’re updating our policy on sketches next week. After evaluating submitter customer feedback, our experts decided that if an autographed comic has a sketch on it, JSA will determine if it can authenticate the autograph as well as the sketch. If JSA authenticates both the autograph and the sketch, the comic will receive the CGC x JSA Authentic Autograph label. If JSA determines that the autograph is authentic, but the sketch is not verifiable, the comic will still receive the CGC x JSA Authentic Autograph label, and the grade will be lowered to reflect the presence of an unverified sketch on the comic. Autographed comics with sketches on them will no longer receive the CGC Qualified green label. Please contact Customer Service if you would like to send back a sketch submission that received the CGC Qualified green label.

  9. Hi The option comes just before review. After you enter the comic and the value, the custom label option will show up.
  10. Hi I recommend contacting the signature series team directly at SignatureSeries@cgccomics.com Mike
  11. Hi While I cannot directly answer your question of value for this item, I wanted to present our declared value policy. Declared Value Policy Submitters to CGC are required to list a declared value for each collectible in their submission. The declared value is the submitter’s best estimate of the current FMV of the collectible, based on a recent purchase price, a comparable sales result, a price guide or other reasonable method. For ungraded (raw) collectibles, base the declared value on an ungraded example. For graded (encapsulated) collectibles, base the declared value on an equivalent collectible of the same grade. CGC does not assign values to collectibles. If CGC determines that a collectible is undervalued and does not qualify for the tier or services selected, it may adjust the tier and charge the appropriate difference in CGC services, grading and/or services fees based on its determination of the collectible’s current Fair Market Value. (Note: CGC will adjust the tier even if the collectible is later determined to be not genuine, altered or otherwise ungradable.) CGC will not, however, change the declared value originally assigned by the submitter. In the extremely rare event that a collectible is lost or damaged while at CGC’s facility, the submitter will be compensated based on the collectible’s current Fair Market Value (as defined below) in the condition in which it was received by CGC; provided that in no event will the compensation exceed the declared value listed by the submitter on the CGC Submission Form. It is therefore very important that the declared value listed by the submitter represent the collectible’s current fair market value. Fair Market Value: For the purposes of this Policy, the “current Fair Market Value” is the value of the collectible if it were to be sold, as determined by CGC in its sole reasonably exercised discretion. CGC will determine the current Fair Market Value of a collectible based upon what CGC believes, in its sole reasonably exercised opinion, to be reliable current market information. CGC may use actual pricing and sales information available to it, including prices in the actual transaction history of the collectible in question. However, due to the volatile nature of the collectible market and Internet auctions/sales as well as the differences in buying habits of different individuals, such information may not necessarily represent the accurate current Fair Market Value of any particular collectible, which again, will be determined by CGC in its sole reasonably exercised discretion. CGC reserves the right to use the declared value listed by the submitter on the CGC Submission Form as the current Fair Market Value, and in no event will CGC’s determination of current Fair Market Value exceed the declared value listed by the submitter on the CGC Submission Form. CGC’s determination of the current Fair Market Value will be absolute and binding on all parties.
  12. Hi Regarding customer service questions: I have been told that if I do not know the answer, I am to refer the customer to customer service. Here are ways you can do that. Start a thread in the Ask CGC section. You can also call, text, or e-mail them. Hours (Weekdays): 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST Call or text (+1) 855-GRADE10 (855-472-3310) Message and data rates may apply for text messages. Service@CGCcomics.com
  13. The interior wraps are moderately split. This is one of those rare cases when an interior defect drops the overall grade lower than either cover. So, the 3.0 grade is correct.
