  1. I've contemplated picking up the two Claremont-Lee Omnis to (eventually) have a continual UXM run but haven't bit the bullet. At this point, I may as well go all in.
  2. Got this yesterday... And I didn't even crack this open yet... The content in Volume Three represents the last hurrah in my X-Men reading back in my youth.
  3. I've pre-ordered the new printings for Fantastic Four omnis volumes 2 and 3 that are to be released this July. I bought the first volume when it was released but stupidly didn't order the subsequent ones. Also pre-ordered the What If? omni (Perez cover, of course). Contains issues 1-15, 17-22; but missing #16 the Shang-Chi issue for some reason.
  4. Anyone stealing then desecrating a collection like that should be lit on fire.
  5. As a kid, multiplying any number by 35 was never a problem for me.
  6. If you don't mind waiting 4 months for new releases, there's always the Marvel Unlimited digital format approach. You can binge on all the Marvel titles all you want, new and old. I bought a years subscription when it was on sale and have been reading some of the recent stuff. I'm liking Daredevil.
  7. I've submitted many books via 9.8 pre-screen. This include slam-dunk 9.8s mixed in with some that I would personally consider 9.6 - but what the heck. They do come back in a 9.8 case more often than not. 9.8s don't have to be perfect. Now, there are some books that I've microscopically inspected top-to-bottom, inside-out, front-and-back and no flaw can be detected at all: they have perfect spines, sharp corners, no whites at the spine tips, perfect centring - all the checkboxes. By definition they should be 9.9 or 10.0. But when I submit them, they come back the ho-hum standard 9.8. In fact, I have some books that I've not submitted because i don't want them downgraded .
  8. I've been buying these omnibuses since they first came out. I've read about 20 or so from cover-to-cover. But a lot I haven't read yet. I'll buy some of them thinking they'll go OOP quickly and they'll be harder to obtain later. But I do plan on getting to them eventually. Some people when they retire will buy a winnebago or a yacht. I just want to have a kick- library with the time to read it all at my leisure. Just hope my eyesight doesn't go by the time I get there.
  9. Very nice! Is that the Moon Knight omni that was just released in the top right corner?
  10. That X-Men Children of the Atom boxed set just made my 2021 must-haves hot list.
  11. Pre-ordered these and picked 'em up yesterday. The New Mutants omni is massive.
  12. I have a bunch of these. Got most of them from a book dealer in the UK who'd ship them over to me in bulk. When I was a kid, I'd be able to get them at W.H. Smith stores in Canada. About 25 or issues were bound together and sold as one volume. I have a lot of nostalgia for these. Here's some Hulks...
  13. On Facebook there are recommended videos that appear in my stream, which I assume are generated from some algorithm based on my search history and interests. Recommended to me a few days ago was a video compilation of female face slapping contests. I have to admit, I liked it.
  14. I'd always hit their booth back in the days when there were comic shows. But have only made a few online purchases to date. There's plenty of eye candy on their site, that for sure.
  15. Special thanks to @AustinReece_GRRC for this one. A personal grail for me.
  16. Missed the first Eternals Omnibus when it was released 15 years ago, so I made sure I preordered the latest edition way back in March. Got it today. This edition has way more content: ETERNALS (1976) 1-19, ANNUAL (1977) 1; ETERNALS (1985) 1-12; ETERNALS: THE HEROD FACTOR (1991) 1; NEW ETERNALS: APOCALYPSE NOW (2000) 1; IRON MAN ANNUAL (1971) 6; AVENGERS (1963) 246-248; material from WHAT IF? (1977) 23-30.
  17. Hardbound book with uncoated matte paper. Inks jump off the pages without much glare. Paper is I think a high-quality newsprint. Not sure how it will hold up over time. Right now, it looks great!
  18. Aquaman needs love too... Aparo Aquaman that is. Bit the bullet and bought these off Amazon while available. Who knows if this'll ever get reprinted? Can't imagine too much demand for this. Bought together with my Amazon Prime 30-day free trial. They arrived same day but from different carriers: one from FedEx, another from the mail, and another from a guy with a van. Efficiency at its best.
  19. Such a great cover. Cheetah appearances are surprisingly few and far between in the golden age through to bronze. Find that odd as she's considered the arch-enemy of WW.
  20. Sure, one of the all-time classic Superman covers. However, not too many folks putting together a Superman run from #200-#423 that I can see. Great books, and I love Curt Swan, but definite slow movers these days, especially when you hit issues #300+. It wouldn't take much hunting or funds to put together such a run, if there's any desire. Maybe now's the time to do it.
