  2. Thats a heck of a list! I have to say I am a bit surprised the 9.8 is up for sale. Anyone want to buy a couple of my body parts?

  5. Love the covers of the first 4 books I have a couple raw #4 9.8s going out for grading soon
  6. Yea I love that cover too! I remember having a handheld turtles video game that used those graphics on the sticker covering the device.
  7. I was thinking that, but he said that his copies had no documentation? Look at the date on those documents. They were made very recently. Ahh images where not up last time I looked. Those sure do look like Issac's books to me and I must say thats a nice COA that Peter made for him.

  9. Wow interesting. Anyone know who owns these copies?
  10. I'm betting that has something to do with it, but to be fair, this not only came out well before the variant craze of the 90's, but it was an unintentional variant. Without having a normal edition to compare this to, I can see how the missing light blue color on the cover can fly under the radar. A big portion of the reason I like it is because it has a small story behind it. Most variants are around just to sell more copies, but this one was a pure accident. (thumbs u
  11. Yea i know how rare it is, but really its just not that interesting to me. Its a decent size run for a misprint and honestly I think it looks ugly compared to the "actual" copy. The story is the same and the book does not have anything truly significant inside. Honestly the book easily sells for 4X's a normal copy is similar condition. Maybe I was just burned too badly from all those stupid variant editions I bought back in the 90s...
  12. Nice book. I was the underbidder on that copy The price makes me gasp. I RETURNED a copy in 2002-03 ish because it was advertised as "NM", when it was a solid F/VF. Price? $67. Honestly I can never figure out why this book is worth as much as it is?
  13. i havent seen the back cover but my guess the dog ear color break folds on the bottom left did you in. i think its a matter of preferece as well. buy the book not the grade. i had a perfect Hulk 181, sharp corners no spine dings but it had a subscription fold that color broke about an inch on the back cover. it dropped the grade to a 5.0. one thing i dug about the 7.0 was that the interior was not signed by the peter or kevin. it seems they signed alot of the #1s at shows when they were promoting. Well said As for the sig's I am the same way on the mid to lower grade TMNT books, but love the high grade with the signatures. With so many of them signed its common knowledge that the sig's are probably real and receive a better presenting book for the grade. Market value seems to follow this logic also as valuation seems to reflect this.
  14. Ahhh thats the one. Still regret passing that up
  15. Very nice book There was a sig series book floating around these boards that looked similar, however it also had splinter and shredder. I loved that book
  16. Well said. It looks like we will just have to wait and see what happens
  17. Well its not the art that I am saying is artificially rare, its the set. Only 2050 printed of material that has already been printed many times. Blah Sure I bet the art does sell for a lot...at first. Over time I dont think the value will be there. I rather own a nice 1st print #1 or a Thorn: Tales from the Lateran
  18. Well than, lets take a poll. Who plans on dropping a grand on this set? Unfortunately I won't be buying a set. I was just trying to put it into perspective that at $500 the art would only be costing $150 since the book set by itself is selling for $350. That would be an absolute bargain for the art compared to what it is going for. At $650 for the art in the $1000 set it is a decent price since you never see any of Jeff's art available other then convention sketches. Dont get me wrong, I think the art is a very decent deal. Its the book that are overpriced. If I could get the art for $650 I could see making the purchase. Although, that too would be a bit of a stretch for me for unpublished art. But a grand for the set that is artificially rare to increase price. Seems doubtful. I mean are there really always going to be 50 people out there willing to drop a grand on this set late if you intend to sell? I am thinking no considering the lack of buyers on this board...
  19. Really nice find. Its not very often at all that you see this book for sale raw and in such nice condition!
  20. Well than, lets take a poll. Who plans on dropping a grand on this set?
  21. They actually still own all the copies. Don't tell Archon_Turtle, but his copy is a fake
