Most of the transactions were small but together added up. He also attempted to have a bigger sales thread and did sell a Batman 52. I agree that his over 18 years old was recently changed too. I had looked at his profile a few times before everything blew up and it never read under 18. That's a problem right there. No one should be selling anything under the age of 18. Too easy for them to get out of trouble as they are"just a kid". I know that is one reason why I looked at his profile before putting up the I'll take it sign. Personally, until this all happened, I was unaware that anyone on these boards were under 18. I am curious and really have wondered this for some time now. Does any suspect that Connor never really had a books to sell? I don't mean to open a can of worms but I would like to know everyone's thoughts. Personally, I don't know how he expects to get away with this as many board members will see his father at cons.

I wouldn't have send payment until the seller told me they were in fact dups he owned. I was just shocked that he had the nerve to undersell to whomever sent him payment first.

Just asking for opinions here about something that happened via PM. I was looking at some sales threads the other day and had a question about a book so I PM'd the seller. I inquired about a handful of other books that were still listed even though someone had put up the i'll take it sign. I was curious if he had dups or forgot to remove them. Later that day, the seller gets back to me telling me that all the books are available and provides a total with paypal info. I PM him again just to make sure that these are not the ones already sold and today I got a PM from the seller stating that the buyer paid for the books and they are no longer available. WTF! It is a new seller, I PM'd him back and told him that those books were already reserved to the other buyer. Is there something else I should do?

Sorry to hear about this but members should come forth with troubled transactions to alert other members of potental problems. Another member had problems with TFL and I wonder if it saw the light of day, would Filter81 been more proactive with collecting his money. Once I saw the trouble MuscleShark had with CapFreak, I did not hestiate to open a Paypal dispute once the transaction went over 30 days because I was alerted to the possible problem. Agreed. Had Adam cut TFL off after the first missed payment in January and posted here, the entire community (including Adam) would have benefited. Adam could have jumped on the $27K offer he received in in March and this thread would be 100 pages shorter. It`s a fine line, because that early in the process there still might be a chance to get things resolved amicably, so you might not want to poison the well by outing someone at that point. In retrospect, of course, it`s clear that TFL never intended to do the deal, but I have no issue with Filter giving TFL the benefit of the doubt and trying to get things done without being confrontational. Fortunately I`ve never had a problem with a deadbeat buyer or seller, on these boards or elsewhere, but I doubt I`d ever pull the plug on the deal and publicly complain about the deal after just 30 days. If there is open and honest communication between two parties than I agree and it becomes a judgment call. Personally, I would not come forth in those cases. I don't mind waiting to complete a transaction. However, the last few cases had broken promises and lies about shipments or payments being make, should be outted without any excuses. It will help the next buyer/seller in-line to make a transaction with that individual.

I remember these sales threads and thought that the seller was a bit disorganized. Hope you get the book now.

I got notification from Hello that all board members that have ordered from him will get their comics shipped by next week. I received all my comics with a few days after making payment from Hello and I assume that every one else got their merchandise as well.

That would have been worth reading. Oh well.

Adam, I read all of this and I am sorry for all your trouble. I hope that your book sells for an extra 5k and that your strong arm TFL into paying you $3k ($2k for loss of other sale and $1k for holding the book) when he requests to be removed. I am bumping the list but will wait for Divad to finalize TFL addition.

I don't understand why he was ever grandfathered. I never knew any youngsters were logged onto these boards.

Seriously, has he hurt anyone on these boards? From what I have read, he may have some problems but is not a bad fella. My personal dealings with him have been professional. Do we really need to keep track of him?
