  1. Thanks. JScomics gets high bids plus my isn't as nice. I am more interested in Dope comix 5 but I guess I will just list it and see if anyone bids. Undergrounds are difficult. I had wanted to complete my Jim set but it is too hard to locate the issues. I have a better chance hunting down the hardcover.
  2. I was wondering if someone here could help me with pricing out two undergrounds. They are not in the Overstreet guide and there were no recent sales that I was able to find on the internet, like here or on ebay. I did locate one in an online store but I think they are asking crazy prices. Someone here told me these were just common issues so I don't want to list them at stupid prices. If someone can help me out that will be great. Dope Comix 5 Bizarre Sex 9 (first printing) I am not selling this one but was curious and would like to mark it on my spreadsheet. I can post scans too. Why are these listed in a different guide? There is an underground that I was looking for but I have no idea what a fair price is for it. Thanks I appreciate any help.
  3. I had put together a running list and posted it awhile back. It was deemed unnecessary by everyone.
  4. I am moving these quotes to the discussion thread. If I am not mistaken, this guy has been on the prob list four times now. comicseekers (added 6/1/07 & removed on 7/6/07; added 5/10/09 & removed 6/2/09); added and removed again on 8/11/09 Besides that there was a huge debacle over long boxes he sold to board members which took awhile to clear up. I think he also made another member pay him $20 to get removed from the prob list or he paid the member to get himself removed. I don't remember the details. In my book this guy should never be allowed to buy or sell. Shouldn't this member be moved to the Hall of Shame.
  5. He only started following through once: 1) He was placed in the HOS. 2) His poor girlfriend had to kick him in the arse to get him to follow through on honoring his transaction. Please don't assume he is doing this out of the goodness of his heart. That went away over a month ago when he should have resolved this entire situation. And he has STILL not resolved all the outstanding transactions. PLUS he promised to make good once, didn't follow through with that and time went by before he promised to make good AGAIN. And like Nick said only 1 or 2 boardies have gotten their books from him. He deserves to be in the HOS. I understand that he is a repeat offender from reading this thread at the start of this problem. However, it was only once other time and I thought HoS members were 3x offenders. I don't believe he is doing this to make any members right but I will keep my opinions to myself as they are not kind. I am not defending his actions rather trying to get a handle on how the HoS is being handled.
  6. That's 1. A few more folks to go, although once someone is in the HOS, I believe they remain there. That was my understanding! (thumbs u Yep, mine too. Guess he should have thought things over quicker. There was no reason to take a moment to figure out what the right thing was to do in the situation. I have no stake in this but why is he even in the HoS list? He got himself into some kind of jam but pulled out of it and made good. If he delivered the books he should be removed.
  7. If you pay me enough I will scan the entire run of it and Barbie Fashion if you like. I am tempted to start a Barbie thread now except none of my issues are slabbed. How about at Katy Keene thread since this is the Copper forum?
  8. That's a bit of an understatement. Boozad, completely off topic but I just turned on signatures this week. Your daughter is adorable and has great taste. That is one of my favorites too.
  9. I am so happy that they are reprinting this as I was going to try and hunt down the out of print trades. I don't have a preview so can someone post the release date and price. I only have the first 4 issues and they are great. I was going to scan the first story for issue 1 but I did not want to stress the spine too much. Here's the first page.
  10. This is exactly the type of conversations I've had with him. He seemed somewhat legit with our conversations (though still suspicious). Why go through all the trouble of listing missing issues, telling people you don't have certain sets, etc? I think that about nails it. Something happened... perhaps he found another buyer elsewhere? And with all this said.... I still hope he comes through for all of us. He has time to make things right, be it a refund or our books. The one and only time I have ever had any trouble with purchase from a board the same thing happened. The guy had an ad for TPB. He has some I needed and I provided him with a list of several others I was looking for. He picked a few from my list stating he had them. I think he started off with good intentions but once he had the money in hand just didn't want to follow through. I question if the guy ever had any of the books but eventually I got two separate shipments because I am such a lovely person to deal with. I never received all the items I paid for and just dropped it because I did get at least 2/3 of the books.
  11. If that was the same guy it looks like he deleted his Craigslist posting too. Not looking too good. I wish everyone good luck and personally, I would file chargebacks immediately. The longer you wait the more you risk not getting a refund.
  12. I looked but didn't see it there. Thanks
  13. You should really post it to the probation discussion thread. There are other members that are still waiting for books as well. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3267425&fpart=835 I still have no idea why he isn't on the list yet.
  14. A big kudos to bubbagump for quick and safe delivery of a couple of trades. Very nice and amicable seller. Thanks.
  15. If I own it than it isn't a "really nice one". I normally nab beat up copies of things. That's my luck but I tend to like that as it has some history or I guess just mis-stored somewhere.
  16. Is the cover price $1.50? Omaha has a dedicated fan base, and having her 1st appearance in any collectible shape would be desirable. Not sure of the price, unfortunately. Yes it has a price of $1.50. It states first print on the interior. I could take a quick picture of the indicia if that helps.
  17. I just pulled my copy and it is a first print. I am trying to organize my stuff and found it. My copy looks like a fine maybe a fine+. Does anyone have an idea of what it is worth? Doesn't look like much but am curious. Thanks.
  18. I don't visit the gold section too often but I saw the title and had to take a peek. Lovely set of books. I love Shazam and really haven't check out too many of the GA covers. Thanks for posting.
  19. Well overdue Kudos to Annihilus for a sweet set of Shazam books. And how could I resist a thread giving homage to Annihilus, thanks mrwoogieman for some great Eclipse books
  20. My indoor cat got fleas a few years back. I had to bomb twice and they were everywhere. Just to let you know, they can survive in lava form for up to 2 years which normally they just tuck away in boxes. I keep my closets opened to bomb and did find them in shoe boxes. Nothing is safe and they do wander off of your pet. It all depends on how bad your animal is infected. I suggest walking around your house with white socks and see if any jump on you. Sounds gross but they are attracted to white for some reason. While researching this problem, they suggest vaccuming daily to "wake" any lava. Good luck.
  21. It was great that Alex returned the book to Yannis so that he could complete the deal, however at that point, though Alex should be commended for being willing to give up the book, nothing should have been done until Yannis had confirmed with Matt that another deal was in place. An unfortunate situation all around. Looks like the seller got use of needed cash right away and now stands to profit about $1,000 more on the book. Unfortunate, yes indeed.
  22. Lonetree had one of those type of sales threads last year. I don't think it went to well but you should ask him. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3560267&fpart=1 Personally with all the sales threads you may be selling them for less than you wanted. I would just list them at x and do a % off at the end of the thread. I was figuring if that thread made enough money to buy me and my girlfriend dinner at boston market it was a success. The final tally says It will be fun to watch. The sales thread not you two eating dinner. Good luck.
