  1. Once the listing is finished, it's gone. It clearly states, right up front... The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you.
  2. Dude, your question is similar to asking how much does lunch cost. It depends. Factors include the age of your comics, the value of your comics, which tier you choose, what services you choose, etc. BTW, when you say shipping doesn't have to be fast, you better be prepared to wait months and months and months..... Seriously, look at the CGC website to get all your answers.
  3. I think you're right. It's only on the Blue Label that they stopped listing major flaws. For the record, I think major flaws should be listed, no matter what the label. Not listing Rusty Staples is a pet peeve of mine. I tried to contact CGC to understand why they won't note it on the label but they never respond. I think because CGC gets so many complaints, mostly frivolous IMO, that they have made a conscious decision to not communicate with us. It's either that or they don't like us and are taking a passive aggressive approach = snubbing us. I'm a big fan of CGC but I really wish they would be more open to responding to a legitimate question. That's one thing I miss about the Borock days, he would talk to us. The only time you get to hear from Paul Litch is on a Pawn Stars episode.
  4. Yes, it was a great time to grow up. I was too young to see the Beatles in concert(at least my parents thought so) but I remember seeing a Hard Day's Night and it was crazy.
  5. First off, it is near impossible to grade a book with blurry pics in a bag. I think there is no doubt the deep spine tic is color breaking and will not press out. Also, I have no idea, but I would think a foil variant should not be pressed.
  6. While trying to find something to use with the current EBAY coupon I came across this. Don't see this book too often and it fits nicely into my Beatles collection.
  7. CGC will never quote you a grade from a pic. They always tell you to submit it. If you do send it in, leave it in the slab. I had an 8.5 with a much smaller tape pull, about 1/8" wide and the length of the staple. Your tape pull looks considerably bigger. Based on that, I'd be more inclined to grade this a 7.5 . I think it looks great in the early generation label and I would not risk losing that WP designation. Another option... If submitted today, I don't think they would mention the tape pull on the label. Maybe you can send it in for a reholder and get the text dropped. Again, not sure, I would check with CGC about this first.
  8. In my experience, even if you get the sticker off cleanly, it leaves a shadow. My question to you, is this book really worth submitting ?
  9. They were literally trying to sell fake diplomas, transcripts, educational related stuff. Earlie,r we were bombarded, but the Architect cleaned it up but alas, they came back.
  10. There is no such thing as a local grader. Send it to CGC. The website has all the answers. Start here............ https://www.cgccomics.com/services/index.aspx
  11. My comment was tongue in cheek, I don't think they will consider it Bindery, it's too big. Sorry. Regarding pressing, I don't see much that will improve with pressing.
  12. I'm at 4.5. Of course he always has a shot that CGC will declare that corner Bindery. They are so loose with Bindery.
  13. This. How the heck are we supposed to know ? Even if someone had experienced something similar, that doesn't mean it necessarily applies here. Questions like this needs to be poised to CGC directly. Phone calls work better. Good luck !
  14. I suspect the cover may be detached, otherwise why did they put tape there ? I definitely see a spine split at the bottom. Difficult to grade without having the book in hand and seeing what the tape is actually doing. I'm curious what the owner thinks Joey can possibly do to improve this book ? The BC is actually not too 'dirty'. I would be afraid of dry cleaning anywhere near that spine. The whole book looks fragile. Assuming the tape is holding something together, I'm at 2.0 .
  15. Still, anytime the owner looks at this book, his eyes will gravitate right to the chip. If he shows it to anybody he will place his thumb over the chip. He will see this chip in his sleep. It will bother him until he decides to move it. Never buy a book that you don't like to look at.
  16. I don't think any of this stuff is valuable. You may consider simply buying your favorites already slabbed. If you go through all the time and expense of getting your personal copies slabbed and they don't grade out, you lose. You really need 9.8's for this kind of stuff to be worth slabbing.
  17. I hope I'm wrong on this but I am suspicious of a married cover situation or staple replacement. The reason for my suspicions is on the back cover. Note, on the right, near the spine, you see indentations, about the size of a staple in length. It looks like a mark that would be left from a stapler without staples loaded. It's like they were positioning the staple placement in a dry run situation, seeing how they would line up ? Again, I hope I am wrong but this cover and the staples simply look too good to be true.
  18. This book was graded 6 years ago. It's amazing that nobody noticed it. You probably could have negotiated a discount from the dealer when you bought it. That being said, I would think CGC will fix it for free but the shipping may be on you. Unless the book has sustained damage in the slab, the grade should be maintained. I think it's pretty cool, as is, and would leave it alone but it's your call. I do not think the label error adds any value. Bear in mind the new slabs are vulnerable to Newton Rings. It would be a shame if you got it back and didn't like the look.
  19. Though we saw Newton Rings on the previous generation slab, it was not to the extent we are currently seeing. The Newton Rings appear when the inner well is pressed against the case. With the Previous generation slab, you could slide something (I used an envelope) into the slab, wiggle it around to cause separation, and they would disappear. Worked everytime. The new slabs are very tight and you cannot slide anything in there = the trick no longer works. IMO, it's not the fault of the materials but the fact that the slabs are so snug. I think it is worse on thicker books, especially GA. I hardly see it on my SA purchases. Regarding CGC QC, I think the books sometimes leave the facility fine but develop the Newton Rings in transit. I bought a book that had no Newton Rings in the pictures but after a very tight, bullet proof shipment, it developed Newton Rings. I left it free standing, no pressure, in a climate controlled environment and, for the most part, the rings went away. I've also noticed that by storing the book on it's side, loosely fit into a storage box, the problem lessens. Store the books upright, tightly fit in a storage box and the rings stay.
  20. They are selling Fake transcripts and degrees ? This is terrible.
  21. That's a good example. I forgot all about Ultimate Spider-Man #1. That was big in the day, a few variants also.
  22. Yes, walkthroughs are done within one business day. If you submitted it under your own account, you can check the status on the website. If not, you are at the mercy of getting your status from the submitter.
  23. Big mistake with the one book Value tier. It will be shipped separately from your Modern Tier submission = extra shipping costs for you.
