  1. Emerald Dawn and Gorilla Warfare were quite good as well.
  2. Yup. That's the more technical description, compared to mine. I had that explained to me when I bought my first and only CR-OW underground book from Howard Greber.
  3. I'd prefer it to remain OWW because it's inferior to a White page grade and shouldn't be associated with an exclamation such as WOW, an acronym which implies there's something extra special about it.
  4. Judging from his ability to hold a conversation while having his mouth tightly shut all the time, Wolverine's a talented ventriloquist as well. It's not hard to find a good pharmacy that will sell you an effective constipation remedy, which could also be the problem.
  5. At least Ramos is making some effort to draw feet, even if they're inside training shoes. Better than nothing, though.
  6. In this respect, Ramos is no Jack Kirby.
  7. Richard Corben is a great example of very strong visual storytelling to grasp the fundamentals of the story without much need to actually read the accompanying text.
  8. Another classic example is Cat Yronwode's surname, for which I've heard e-ron-woder, i-ron-woder, e-ron-voder, i-ron-voder or iron-wood.
  9. Irish Celtic pronounciation is often surprising, but very interesting.
  10. I recall some over here nicknaming him 'Salty'.
  11. Most of the collectors and dealers I knew in the UK during the 80s couldn't figure out the pronunciation of John Totleben's surname. They tended to go for total-ben or tottle-ben, whereas I went for the more Germanic tote-layben.
  12. I'm still disappointed that after all of my hard work in the contest I was robbed of last place in the final round. All that effort; for nothing, for no reward.
  13. Too similar to Ghost Rider as well, so it's already been done on-screen. I forgot about that.
  14. Harbinger 0, Magnus 0 and 12, Solar 10, Rai 3.
  15. A lot of 90s Valiant slabs on eBay in the mid-2000s.
  16. Yup. The picture's obviously been Photoshopped to remove a natural, green tinge. Still looks quite angry, though.
  17. I don't see much difference. I'm not posting with any greater frequency, and neither is Jimmers or any of the other Water Cooler regulars.
  18. I've found the lack of support on the new site for threads about Lancashire Kitchens to be its most disappointing feature. Maybe there's a plug-in or something technical that Arch could do to rectify this oversight?
  19. It was still doable for me in 2008. Now I'm not willing to pay the prices being asked, simply put. Same as Jimmers, really.
  20. They'll always be Atom Age to me.
  21. I know they're experimenting with some new windfarm designs, but I'm not sure that this one will catch on.
  22. I like the term Atom Age for 1950 to the start of the Silver Age later on that decade, being a fan of the classic science-fiction films from that time and EC Comics, both influenced by nuclear and Red / xenophobic paranoia. So, a very appropriate term for this period.
  23. I should've picked up the two Chemo issues, 14 and 25. Always liked that villain; stone-cold, clinical, intimidating.
  24. Although I thought the time-looped battle with Dormammu was good, it was a little disappointing to see him presented as a big Galactus cloud or old-school, Wizard of Oz-like projection, rather than an actual humanoid figure.
