  1. Thanks man! Hope you've been well. Cool bit of info on the New Warriors show. That would be nice. I would love a revival in some form, preferably a new ongoing. We will see. I have noticed that cheap HG copies of #1 are becoming much, much harder to find in quantity.
  2. Happy New Year! I see that you beat me to the exact same insult on Hector's manhood.
  3. Dikpiks sent! We've got a Janet sending dikpiks! 2017 starts with a bang... Not with a bang but a whimper.
  4. I've been out of collecting for over a year. What is new in the world of Darkhawk? Has he been in any comics? Do we a Darkhawk movie to look forward to after Marvel releases the stand alone Wrecking Crew movie? Sweet #5, Carl.
  5. Are we still waiting on most of this collection to be revealed?
  6. Qp is too important to me to buy books without pictures. I guess I would take a chance if the price is crazy good and I intended to flip. Haven't done that yet.
  7. Never going to happen. That's why I support the implementation of very simple requirements to post a sales thread. Some combination of join date/post count. Along the lines of 2 months and 50 posts. This idea always made sense to me. Heck, there is a post requirement to partake in the PIF thread. But then that means that someone like "He whose name shall not be spoken" who creates 50 posts every hour would have been eligible to start selling after one day of posts and as soon as his time period was up. A required join up date / post count just encourages the Long Con. It discourages the short con which is the problem. If there are people doing the long con here, they'll do it regardless. I don't see how that encourages it.

  9. I definitely jumped before checking to see how deep the water is. I still stand behind my desire to help Matt out but I would admit that I should have done some more research before starting up the thread. No one can fault you for doing something nice for someone. It was a great gesture on your part. Totally agree. I do too.
  10. If there is completed artwork waiting to be mailed out, that should be the first place charity funds go.
  11. Thanks guys! I've always been in the camp that believes Go-Bots are the ugly brother of Transformers, but that Power Warrior is sweet. Surprisingly high quality.

  13. I was happy to find this stuff. The Go-Bot's Command Center is complete and it still lights up and makes that horrible alarm noise. The Power Warrior is missing one missile. Both are in great shape. The blue/red multipack interior book is The Champions #11 and the yellow/green one is Marvel Presents #9. All the books look like they would grade mid 9s. Never found a multipack in the wild before. Fun stuff.
  14. This makes no sense to me. Why have more than one copy if you don't plan on eventually reselling them? Two copies I can understand, your reader and your untouched high-grade. But "tons"? Some like having multiples of the same issues and it's not like we're talking about AF15s here. Most were purchased dirt cheap. It's a nostalgia kick in the face flipping through a short box of Darkhawk #1s. Ive seen pictures...more like a longbox! You're not wrong!

  16. 2037 is going to be a glorious year. Man, you're ambitious. I thought 2050 at the earliest. I'm a dreamer. I'm sure we'll get a proper relaunch of Darkhawk in the near future. The original title ran for 50 issues and is very fondly remembered by many. That will spike interest. I am kinda surprised he hasn't already. Im not. Just hoarders here hoping. No kidding. Look at when the original series existed and understand that that is the (only) reason why it existed and lasted more than 4 issues. It doesn't stop fans from now routinely paying $100+ for Darkhawk #1 CGC 9.8. The fans of DH grew up during that time period and don't have a negative bias towards the grim n' grit takeover of the late 80s/early 90s. He was also became more of a cosmic character later on and those are currently en vogue. Lots of different directions that character can go with a new creative team. You're not going to find many examples of DC/Marvel characters in the last 25 years who have had a series last 50+ issues in the main universe that haven't been given a proper relaunch this long after their series ended. Plus, he was a New Warriors member, a Loner and then there's his War of Kings and Avengers Arena involvement. He has fans, not just people waiting to cash in. Full disclosure, I have a ton of copies and it's not because I plan to resell them.
  17. I didn't think this is anything new, but the last few issues of The Punisher sell for good money. Punisher #102 with the great Bullseye cover always does well. Technically modern.

  19. Late to the party. Yet another example of why we need some very basic join date and/or post count requirements in order to start a sales thread. Until that is implemented, we will continue to provide a safe haven for one and done scammers and nincompoops of similar ilk. It also dilutes the effectiveness and functionality of both the HOS and the PL when it's littered with gobs of these one and done d-bags.
  20. Good to hear that this is the case and there isn't some unknown movie in the works. I loose track of which character will be the star of some new Netflick show or get time on the Silver Screen these days. You would forget that about Darkhawk?
