  1. Cool and a smart move by DC. I would still like to see Black Lightning appear in a DCU movie.
  2. I expect that more than half of the movie will be the same. They may change the background colors to be more in line with Snyder stylistically, but I can't imagine they would let Whedon redo more than half of the footage. That would be way too costly.
  3. My question is how much is going to be different from the Whedon version? If it is just the historic sequence and a few scenes here or there, will the fans be disappointed? FWIW, I liked the Whedon version for what it was, and fully expect to like this more.
  4. They have already pulled back a bit in prices from when I sold the bulk of them earlier. Standard movie play - prices peak in advance of movie so it is better to sell early than hold on in most cases. This market is even more fickle right now as speculators are jumping from books week to week.
  5. Is that the final CGI for her? If yes, the first thing that came to mind is Jim Carey, which is not good: or
  6. Which store did that? You are in Calgary, right?
  7. Nah. Eternals <<<<<<<< Venom. Right now you follow the money, and that is Cates and Tynion for each company, respectively. Be selective with your spec plays and you can make $$$$$.
  8. The reason they likely went that high is they they pre-sold enough of the 1:50 ratio variants (200) to need that many regulars. At the rate they are going for, the variants should cover the cost of the regular issues.
  9. People were calling the Thanos + gauntlet + Mjolnir image Thoranos. I like Thoranus for the concept better.
  10. Nice. I only ordered 100, and hopefully the two deaths and Thoranus 1st app make it worthwhile. The variant is the reason I decided to chase it. Nice cover.
  11. Looks like Thor 6 is going to be interesting this week based on the spoiler cover.
  12. There are plenty of unscrupulous sellers that use this to repair color loss. I would advise against it, but to each their own:
  13. There is plenty of spec happening here, we just prefer to keep our picks to ourselves.
  14. Nice. I hope this floats all grades as I have a few copies of this book sitting and waiting for a new movie/TV announcement.........
  15. Yes, if you look at some of the other articles, AT&T will be need to maintain their IP/copyrights so they will still publish new books for the time being. From what I have read, a big part of the decision was to change the corporate direction and culture due to the opportunity that COVID provided. The senior people that were let go were viewed as being tied to the old model of running a comic book publisher. Book the restructuring costs this year and go forward with a clean slate in 2021. They are not the only company doing this, and they will not be the last. Diamond is probably toast come January when their Marvel deal runs out at end of December.
  16. And when the two Spider-man chromium and ASM 300 chromium came out I passed on them since there was really no demand at that time. Remember, that was during the death spiral phase where the industry contracted significantly. At that time we were busy chasing SA and BA keys since they were so cheap. I was just finishing university, and back then a VG copy of X-Men 1, Avengers 1/4, and even TOS 39 was just a $250 - $300 venture. BA keys in 9.0+ were a dime a dozen and were not worth more than a couple to three hundred for NM Hulk 181s or GSX 1s (books like Marvel Spotlight 5 and WWBN 32 were not really anything at that point either). I was buying every SA or BA key I could find locally and flipping them online due to the exchange rate. It ranged from $1.40 - $1.53 CDN:$1 USD back then, so even selling straight across for what you paid at a Canadian LCS was a nice profit. That was also the time I cleaned out three LCSs of all of their Valiant pre-unity, last issue, and retailer incentive backstock at 3 books for $1.........
  17. This is just like the chromium/retailer incentive craze of the early 90s all over again. The way we played that one was to dump hot moderns and buy older keys (or trade them for older keys).
  18. Yeah, prices have spiked the past week with the America Chavez casting rumors for Dr. Strange 2.
  19. And newsstand copies are jumping even more now as well. My UXM 266 newsstand 9.8 topped $1300 last month on Clink. Direct editions are less than half of that.
  20. So, will Thor #6 see some heat based on the reveal that is floating around online since yesterday?
  21. It is an interesting collection. 34 shorts primarily 2000 up with some SA and BA, as well as copper. Since the collection is from out of town, I am hoping for some newsstand copies in the mix.
  22. Nice. I am picking up a collection with #2,4,5,6,12 in it tomorrow.
  23. Maybe next weekend. However, knowing this person, he definitely cleaned it out.
  24. No. Comcage George has cleaned out all of the good stuff I have been aware of in Calgary the past couple of years. His contacts keep digging up great collections for him.
