  1. Price them high. Even more common 25th anniversary issues are sought after now. The Star books are very tough to find in high grade.
  2. Agreed I was fine with the Newton Rings as they were not a big deal, but the shifting/unsecure inner well is an issue as it could lead to damaged books. CGC should just stick with the snug fit and tell the people who complain about the Newton Rings to pound sand.
  3. How much did the signatures cost? That would cut into the potential $1228 gain a bit based on what Stan used to charge at shows.
  4. That is cool. WB really fooked up by not building towards a battle with Darkseid. The other villain they need to weave in is Braniac. They did a really cool portrayal on a low budget in Krypton, and bringing him into the DCU as a threat to bottle a city on Earth (Atlantis would be fun) would be great to see. A battle vs either one would be a good way to weave in the GL Corps........
  5. The Norman and Gwen trist? Yeah, that was awesome. It is one of my favorite ASM pages of all time. I wonder if the OA is available for it?
  6. So......if the Venom/Spidey FCBD issue comes out AFTER Venom #26, which one will the market say is the 1st full appearance of Virus?
  7. The start of the Superior Spidey arc from ASM 700 through the first bit of Otto-spidey was fun. Other than that, the best story IMHO was Sins of the Past, especially the issue where Peter visualizes Norman and Gwen hooking up. I laughed out loud when I read that. It was fun from the sense that it turned a whole bunch of Spidey canon on its head.
  8. The Vault was optioned by a company with Depp, but nothing came of it as far as I know. It was a nice flip for a short while as most LCSs still had them in cheap backstock.
  9. Awesome. Hopefully there are a lot of new DC TV and movie announcements.
  10. The Clink copy is a newsstand copy so that may be the reason.
  11. I would have figured with the 1000s of books you submit each year that you would get preferential pricing.
  12. Oh well, I guess I will pay that on my next groups. That is why you need to send books in groups of 25 to distribute the shipping charges.
  13. I am Canadian, and the rate is the same as it has been for a while now via Fedex. Did you get dinged for GST? If yes, then you filled in the paperwork wrong when submitting the books. You need to mark them as "Comics for certified grading" on the Customs declaration and it should be fine.
  14. There is a UXM 266 CGC 9.8 is at $1200+ with a week to go on Clink, and it is spiking at the same time as UF 4 and other copper/modern keys. Cash in on the COVID cheques and lack of conventions while you can.
  15. As a seller, the onus is on you to get the pricing right. If I don't update my convention stock, I get scooped as well. It is the law of the comic jungle. I have had friends pull out AF 15s and other Marvel SA keys at garage sales for next to nothing ($20 for a 4.0/4.5 AF 15 a couple of years ago), and another local seller scored a bunch of GA books (including a low grade Tec #38) a few years back for $1 apiece. FWIW, when the ASM 688 JSC Lizard variant was first hitting $1,000 online, there were local stores selling them for $5 in variant overstock bins........
  16. You can feel both at the same time, but I am siding with being happy for the buyer here. It's no different that snagging a deal from a LCS on underpriced variants.
  17. Hmm.....I wonder what else they have mispriced if they have a store?
  18. Thankfully I sold it last August in the Clink featured auction for a GPA record of $3555. That is what 9.4s are selling for now........
  19. X-Men keys are still running from what I can see, and prices are higher now than they were Jan-Feb pre-COVID. The COVID payouts are flowing into collectibles as well as the stock market now.
  20. It is back to the price I paid you for it now based on latest GPA sale.
  21. Agreed. It is not as if UF 4 is the only book spiking. For example, my newsstand CGC 9.8 UXM 266 is over $1200 a few days into the Clink July auction, and other copies have been hitting the $900 - $1000 mark over the past couple of months. This was a $250-$300 book at the start of the year. A lot of other Copper and Modern keys, and Silver and Bronze books, have jumped in price at the same time that COVID cheques started to arrive.
