  1. I am going to be bring a couple longs of SA/BA/CA keys that have been sitting in the basement for the past few years to the show to compete with Andy for Greg's and Joe's money now.
  2. Screw Avengers End Game. This is the movie everyone is waiting for.
  3. I am not surprised. This book still has a ways to go to catch up to IH 181. Now that SA keys are hitting $5K for a low grade copy, we are starting to see BA keys play catch up. Add in the factor that Disney/Marvel has the X-Franchise back, there is plenty of room for this book to grow.......
  4. Awesome. I snapped up a few copies of TOD #10 last year for cheap thinking that Blade had to make an appearance again at some point on the big screen.
  5. That is not unexpected. While I am pretty certain I will like First Class better than CM when I see it this weekend, the fact that CM is a major player in Avengers Endgame ensured the film would do well.
  6. Based on value. You can play the movie spec game and save a small bit, but a copy of #1 will appreciate more in all likelihood.
  7. Start with the best copy of the 1st Chameleon that you can find and work down from there.
  8. Wow. Andy is capitulating for Greg already?
  9. Cavil <<<< Robbie as far as influence in Hollywood and fan-base. She is an A-list female lead. He is maybe a B-list male actor.
  10. Why not if the director wants him and he accepts the terms of the contract?
  11. It goes both ways. He is over-reaching in the request as well. He is an actor, the studio hires the Producer and Director. I am not sure what his qualifications are as a producer, but if he has basically zero big budget producer experience I can't see a studio taking a risk like that. In the end, as much as fans may not like it, actors/actresses are commodities that can be replaced.
  12. If they pay him what he wants, why not?
  13. I don't think there is anything weird about it. Gunn is looking to hire actors and actresses he has previous ties to/likes working with/respects. If I am an actor/actress, I want to work for both companies since it means more options and hopefully more money. For most of the cast and crew, the big budget super hero films generate the big $$$ so they can pursue lower revenue but more artistic/personally meaningful projects in the downtime to satisfy their creative side.
  14. Fassbender is awesome in the role. If he is replaced, hopefully they can find someone close to his acting ability to carry on with the role.
  15. Agreed, but I bet that every Valiant seller wanted to see Aug002 bidding on their auctions during the early 00s. I could never figure out if he was trying to corner the market on Valiants or looking to drive up other bidders on all auctions to unload books via another account.
  16. I wonder if it is more tied to 1st Lucipher and Xavier losing use of legs than Avengers since demand for X-Men 20 has seen an uptick as well. Prices on X-Men 10 have been jumping as well.
  17. It is a matter of perspective. Compared to today's print runs, that would place Harby #1 in the 32-35 range for top selling monthly titles in 2019........
  18. You paid more for a lot of the incentive issues though, thanks to Aug002.
  19. So you are saying CGC is inconsistent? Then yes, I agree. I was saying that I can spot the difference in page quality from color/suppleness/preservation/smell, etc. perspectives after buying so many collections over the years. It is not difficult after you have seen enough collections/raw books to tell the difference. If a collector/part-time seller like me can do it, then there are tons of others who can as well.
  20. I revised my post. I meant both films were bad due to story/--script (especially weepy Vader knock off). TFA was just a New Hope rerun and TLJ was a sort of ESB knock off. The Phantom Menace had more originality in it.
  21. The MRAs missed the point - the great sin with the Force Awakens and the Last Jedi is that they are not a very good movies, and that was mainly due to the stories/scripts. The gender of the leads did not matter to me. They were mediocre movies. Rogue One was a much better film.
  22. Definitely. I snagged a couple of copies of FF #4 (CGC 5.5 and CGC 7.0) in November/December 2018 thinking it was overdue for a jump. The CGC 7.0 copy was a mistake that will work out - I was putting in proxy bids late at night on a Heritage auction after a few drinks and thought for sure that I was bidding on FF #5 instead of the FF #4 CGC 7.0. Thank goodness my bid was not run up to the level it was really at for an FF #5 instead.
  23. I will disagree with you here. It is easy to spot the difference between W and OW in BA books. OW-W is a bit more difficult, but you can see a difference, especially between books from collections up here in relatively arid and cool Alberta vs. books from the US Eastern seaboard/SE.
