  1. My that they do a Kingdom Come movie/movies as an Elseworlds kind of thing at some point as well. That would be awesome to see on the big screen......
  2. What is the market like for Bone #1 1st prints these days? I picked up a copy in a collection and am debating whether to hold or sell.
  3. Is it worth picking up more Nailbiter #1s? What about Southern Bastards #1? A couple of stores here still have some left on the racks at cover.
  4. Thanks to the mods for dumping the pizzing math and refocusing the thread. (thumbs u
  5. In case anyone is interested, there is a 9.6 copy of #227 plus a nice group of other HG Adams Batmans in this week's Heritage Sunday Night comic auction. http://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=52+793+794+791+1893+792+2088+4294951462&No=96
  6. Here is a set of triplets I recently picked up.......
  7. The seller will accept the best offer he gets on the book. He took the right approach - ask an insane starting bid to see if a sucker bites, otherwise see how high the offers reach.
  8. That is a great story re: you giving your ticket to the couple and then Kirkman acknowledging it. Kudos to you for making that couple's day!
  9. I will only approve if they do a chromium lenticular hologram in 3-D variant........
  10. And the reason that ASM #365 sold so many copies was.........hologram cover!
  11. There are a number of the Adams Batbooks that fall under that wall decoration category. (thumbs u
  12. I take the following approach to buying and then unloading collections - keep the keys or mark them up, put the commons at 50% of guide, then blow out the rest of the books worth even up to $10 in the guide out at $1 apiece. As long as you buy properly you will make your money back from the $1 books, double it with the commons and lesser keys, then keep the best of the books for a rainy day/future gains. There are plenty of late BA into CA collections out there right now that can be bought for $0.50 or less per book that can be flipped readily for a nice profit. For example, last week I picked up a small 1200 book collection for $500 that is 90% late BA and CA. There is a nice run of New Teen Titans #1-10, DC Comics Presents #26 & #27, Star Wars #35 - 50, plus a bunch of other CA keys/hot books.
  13. Since I have a few Moon Knight #1s on hand, but no GN #17s, my vote goes to Moon Knight #1!
  14. +1 What do you mean by BS? I am surprised at how many people took it as potentially being serious. I figured I would have some fun with the guy that posted he found a NWM #1 and asked if it would be worth anything. Well now I am going to cry in my corner Sorry. I figured that everyone else would clue in with the part about releasing #7-20 bi-weekly as a thank you to the fans.........
  15. Isn't it? I think CGC lables it "First Eddie Brock fingernail". Which fingernail variant? I have them with red, blue and green fingernails in addition to normal.......

  17. What do you guys mean by BS Nowhere Men announcement?
  18. The nice thing about LCSs is that at most of them the staff do not know what is hot and what is not online until it is too late. You can add most old school sellers at conventions to the list as well. With flipping you have the benefit of hindsight - the only problem is beating the other up to date sellers to the books sitting on the shelves at LCSs. Speculating pre-launch on moderns is more of a mugs game now as there are too many people playing it. For every hit, there will be misses, unless you focus on popular characters or the right creators. Chasing every new Image #1, as an example, will not work out in the end....... That being said, it is much easier to make money buying SA/BA/CA collections for $1 or less a book than speculating on Moderns.
  19. I snagged a few of those because I loved the cover. I think I know where I might be able to snag a couple more. 2nd prints can be money if the cover is better, and the print run is quite diminished from the 1st. Agreed. I played Batman #608 and #612 well way back in the day, but I can't believe that a book that is only on issue #6 with a respectable but not huge following hits the prices it is already. That being said, I will gladly take the $$$.
  20. I can't believe the prices the #2 2nd prints are fetching now. Looks like I have to pick some up from the LCSs......
  21. Is there any interest in the McFarlane cover Marvel Tales issues?
  22. If anyone is at the con this weekend they need to talk to some Image folks for some big news........
  23. At the Image booth last weekend I heard that they are putting it on hold for the summer and planning on going bi-weekly this fall as a thank you to the fans. Issues #7 - 20 will be ready to go then.
  24. Smells like someone bet heavily on Ninjak once upon a time. Wow ! I feel like Ninjak was the first Valiant character to cause the bubble to bust in the 90s. The print run on those books had to be high because there were stacks of them everywhere. I enjoyed the heck out of Valiant books and especially Bloodshot, X-O, and Eternal Warrior. Still, I think Ninjak sealed the deal. Geomancer helped! Haha ! I forgot about him. There were some really great books early and even some of the later stuff was good but there were some absolute duds mixed in. Turok #1 is the one that issued in the end. When I was cleaning out the LCSs of their Valiant backstock (pre-unity, late run and incentives) they all had leftover longboxes of Turok #1, but only half boxes of Ninjak #1 left if that. I think it sold better due to the cover.
