  1. Is #6 supposed to be out this week? Or, is it delayed again?
  2. It might once Death's wifey starts taking charge.........
  3. I landed the following today: #1 (2nd) - 2 copies #2 (1st) - 2 copies #3 - 2 copies #4 - 2 copies Another store had two more copies of #2 (1st) in FN/VF and VF condition that I passed on. Is it worth snagging them?
  4. Batman Adventures #16?? how many of those have i given away? That books been hot for several years. Sells well all the time. Interesting - I did not realize that. I will have to double check, but I belive I am picking up a run of that title next week in a nice 3200+ book collection.
  5. I think that's a fair statement, but it excludes the fans that are a bit miffed with the erratic nature of the releases. fair enough, as i am one of those fans Same here. It stinks to go months waiting for that next release. Eric would be better off just turning it into a bi-monthly title and announcing that publicly instead of the continuous delays. As much as I like reading the book, I am going to go to the TPB approach now and drop it from my file when #6 is finally released. It will be interesting to see if it continues after that based on the continual release delays, to be honest. This would not be the first book to die due to delays, and it would not be the last........
  6. I could not even sell my #1 variant for $5.99 on eBay so I have not bothered with it since Feb.
  7. +1. Hardest to find relative to the others. Interesting. I know a couple of stores that still have #2s available. Is it worth grabbing extra copies?
  8. Not bad. Here is what I got for the last run I sold way back in February: Hawkeye #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 *1ST PRINTS / AJA & FRACTION / SOLD OUT / UNREAD* (#251220689343) US $99.99
  9. It is only a matter of time. As Greggy can attest to, I am getting that for 1980s New Mutants #1s now at shows. that book has picked up at shows for me as well. I'll toss three or four into my Five Buck Chuck long box and they are gone first day. I started at $5 and worked up to $8. At $10 people looked but did not buy......
  10. Is it worth picking up 2nd Print copies of The Last of Us #1? One of my LCSs still has a couple.
  11. It is only a matter of time. As Greggy can attest to, I am getting that for 1980s New Mutants #1s now at shows.
  12. Interesting. Looks like I will have to put up a few NWM sets now.
  13. If you are talking speculation at cover then unless it's a low print variant I can't see TWD being worthwhile. As something to read and collect it's great but the speculation on it has left the building and the fat lady has sung several songs since #95. For shizzle I sold a bunch of issues from #97-107 at $5 - $8 apiece at the Calgary Expo this spring even though most were still on the racks at the local stores. Same with Governor Special #1s ($12 apiece on the first 3 or 4 and $15 for my last copy), Walking Dead Magazine #1s ($25 apiece) and the two copies of WD #108 that wer just out that week (or the week before) that I put on the table at $20 apiece. One of the other boardies I shared space with moved WD issues like crazy as well at inflated prices. Buy them, hold them and flip them for $5+ apiece at shows in a couple of months.
  14. Yes and because lurkers see there is a discussion about Doomsday in the 'copper thread'. Looks like it is a newsstand copy as well with the UPC code which could also be fuelling the bidding.
  15. +2 re grading. I would have said 6.5 personally. It is not a nice copy at all for the grade.
  16. That's a tough one in grade. Now that is tempting. I've been holding the line on this particular book for a while now. It's really the only Adams Bat book I'm missing, but I just can't bring myself to pay a lot for it. I think I'm ok with something in the 9.0 range if it ever turns up. They don't seem to come up for sale as much as other Adams Bat keys either. I know I snagged my 9.4 as soon as I saw it. It depends. I have come across a number of 8.0+ copies the past year and a half. It is a great book to buy to flip. (thumbs u
  17. We do, and if he were in the real world he would realize how this nonchalant comment could be taken by customers and/or shareholders as a reflection of his view towards the entire business as well. Basically, if he is willing to let deadlines slip on one product line, then why not the others? No seasoned businessman would express that attitude publicly in almost any other industry. I have no problem if he does this in his spare time and treats it as such, but being in the position he is he should realize that comments like that are best left unsaid as it could negatively impact the company. Just say you are sorry and busy with managing the company's growth that NWM may be delayed during this period and leave it at that.
  18. Based on that comment I think I am going to drop NWM from my file and just wait for the trades. Even though it is my favorite Image title by a long shot, it looks like punctuality will be an issue for it going forward.
  19. I will have to take a scan later, but I am now a member of the club (top left):
  20. Turnaround times are brutal right now. I have a group of Value Fast Track Silver and Bronze age books that were received on April 30th and are now in QC. If they tell you on the phone that it is a 6 - 7 week turnaround on fast track then why not update the website to reflect this? I have another 40 or so books I was going to send in but am probably going to hold off since they are so slow with even the fast track service right now.
  21. I bought a 2.5 JLA #1 for $395 here a couple of weeks ago and had multiple offers of $500 - $600 from other boardies.
  22. I bought a bunch of extra copies of #1, flipped all but 2, and am glad I did.
  23. Yes, you still should for those of us who may be looking for one......
  24. How much do the creators receive as a percentage of the cover price? If it is a 2.99 cover, do they get 50 cents each (assuming the wholesale price is only 1.49 to the stores)? 25 cents?
