  1. Found this online. Not sure if they've been posted before, but thought they were fun Here's some dangerous reading Judging by the books, this kid must have great taste Not depicting a comic, but Bob Kane with a Catwoman muse
  2. Looks like they got a Lex Luthor http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2975590/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1
  3. http://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/jan/21/ben-affleck-batman-suit-release-date At least there won't be any nipples....
  4. That is a great looking copy for having that pq! I really do prefer the 1st page of Action Comics #10 to its actual cover. The upper panel is basically showing Superman #1. The colors look nice and there's nothing missing from the art of the first page. If you decide to have it slabbed after washing and casting, I'd definitely not add a reprint cover. That panel is depicting one of the most iconic Superman images ever. Very cool coverless book to have (thumbs u
  5. I LOVE this series. IMO this is undoubtedly THE best animated superhero series ever made. This is what drew me to comics and made me a believer for life. Pure awesomeness
  6. Wonderful unrestored copy Ben! and a good story too! Yes, fantastic copy Ben thanks fellas. Has to be one of the best looking 2.0s out. I've seen higher graded copies with far less eye appeal. So what does one prefer more--higher grade less eye appeal or lower grade more eye appeal? The eye appeal definitely trumps grade for me, although a combo of both is nice. I actually like books with detached, non-taped covers a lot. They grade low, but can have fantastic eye appeal. Beautiful book, Ben
  7. I am a huge fan of X-Men #1, but unfortunately $48,468 is as low as it was 3 1/2 years ago, with the former 2 9.2 copies selling for $62,000 and $60,000 in 2012 and 2011 respectively. Data is showing that all of the 9.0-9.4 copies of X-Men #1 have gone down considerably.
  8. Welcome to the club This book is a treasure in every grade. Congrats!
  9. That is mighty nice for a 3.0. Welcome to the club
  10. I love these editions and got a few of them myself. Congrats on purchasing some very cool ones Läderlappen means leather-flap btw
  11. Interesting....Didn't know about this.... Warner Bros and DC Comics have had their sights on a Justice League movie adaptation since Marvel Studios announced plans to assemble the Avengers on-screen. This came close to becoming a reality in 2007 when George Miller was hired as director and a cast was put together. DJ Cotrona was on board as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as the Flash, rapper Common as the John Stewart incarnation of Green Lantern, and Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman. A screenplay by Kieran and Michele Mulroney received positive feedback from the studio, but revisions deemed necessary were heavily delayed by the infamous writer's strike of that year. Miller's decision to cast relatively unknown actors in such iconic roles was also met with criticism and spiralling costs did little to convince Warner that a team-up movie was the way to go at this stage. Megan Gale would have made an awesome looking Wonder Woman Here she is at the shore of Themyscira
  12. The 8.5 sold for strong $45,504. The 7.0 sold for rather disappointing $7,700. Possibly due to the pq and the writing on the cover
  13. I liked him even better as the Riddler...but his Joker performance was spectacular.
  14. The book is definitely back on track. Copies keep turning up and prices are steadily rising again. The Sparkley copy is already at $5,100 with a week to go.
  15. The first one sold (the seller ended the auction). Probably went for > 2 grand. Cover detached, rusty staples, centerfold loose, bad stains, etc. But still a number 4. Top one went for $1,750 (plus $40 shipping). Yeah, I just got a nice surprise. My boy bought that one too. Now he has 3. Is he trying to corner the market ?
  16. There's plenty of room to go. The SC copy on eBay has been up for less than 24h and is already at $4,500 with 9 days to go.
  17. I thought peewee22 had that on lock down....at least he did back in May. He had to make room for something else
  18. The beautiful Detroit Trolley copy just sold on CL for a good price.
