  1. I love how pieces of the book that were not attached at all, can be put back in the right place during the casting process -- like that red spine/back cover piece to the left of the S! No piece was actually separated from the cover, but there was quite a bit of paper loss here and there. During the leafcasting process that missing tissue was added and made everything even. Kenny is a genius!
  2. It's not finished, yet, but Kenny did an awesome job leafcasting it and I am very excited about the progress
  3. Either way it is the 1st app. of a very popular character with not that many copies out there compared to their later counterparts from the early 60's. The character is awesome with tons of potential that needs a better approach than the tanked movie and cheap animated series. It is a book that will certainly rise again in value once the Justice League franchise gets on its way. At that point however, higher grade copies will be unavailable again. Since WB has decided to try to do this right, it is all a matter of time. If you are looking for a long time investment, now is probably the time to buy this book cheap in higher grades. If you're looking for a fast flip, this is probably a bad choice to make at this time.
  4. As to the latest SDCC news: Batman vs Superman movie in 2015 Flash movie in 2016 Justice League in 2017 This thread should be quite long by then
  5. This thread is fascinating! Thank you for taking the time to post all of it, Jpepx78

  7. All these cool books make me want to expand to SA
  8. This is one of my favorite covers of the entire Golden Age and the Church copy is out of the wood work! It was graded very recently and although it has a slight mis-cut -and I am not sure what is going on with the bottom right corner-, the colors are so beautiful, rich and vibrant it seems unreal! Up in the HA's November Signature Auction.

  14. must post the other copy too Gorgeous copy ! It sure the heck is A beauty! Can't wait for Kenny to start working on my copy, so I can post it here
  15. I would take the Tec #27 and ASM #1 over the Cap #1. If we were talking simply collector's enjoyment, I'd take just the Tec #27 over the Cap #1 (importance > grade). Batman and Spiderman are arguably the Top-2 superheroes in the world today. Cap, though iconic in his own right, is not even close. Couldn't agree more (thumbs u
  16. Awesome, Bob It's a yellow book AND a copy of your beloved "D" collection
  17. The Green Lantern animated show just got cancelled, plus the Green Lantern toys sold poorly, maybe Hal Jordan is not what the fans want? They can`t make the fans like something that doesn`t interest them. Maybe they should go with John Stewart or Kyle Rayner next time if there is a next time. Same with the Flash movie would be better off with Wally West then Barry Allen. Honestly, that does not surprise me. The show was utterly bad. I hated the cheap animated style they used and the stories were completely flat and boring with only very few exception. Hal Jordan is not the problem. Marvel has proven very well that even an unknown or not that popular character can always gain success and popularity to a very high degree. I would not mind seeing any of the other Lanterns either as most of them are quite dandy or even nifty. The problem is the production and not the character. The entire GL-universe is exciting and knows no limits whatsoever. Personally, I like Hal Jordan and I'm glad DC got him back from Limbo and made him the main character in the GL-Universe again. I might just be nostalgic, but I prefer to see the original silver age GL being in focus. Plus he is a cool guy with flaws and everything. On the other hand, they've destroyed the character so much, a clean cut might just be what GL needs.
