  1. Brent...since this was unfortunately not the first time there was a problem (I believe you have been brought up on this thread at least 2 other times) . Why was there a problem here, and why did it take so long to correct it. ? Also, do you have a list of everything involved and a resolution for each instance? I've done a search on this thread on not found anything before april. I have sent out invoices to all boardies for these books and then anyone who sent the $6 got books shipped for free. I don't really know what else there is for me to do at this point. I do have a reason for not sending out the invoices and it mostly has to do with I wasn't comfortable with the page quality of the books being shipped. I had 300+ copies of certain issues in 9.8. But I didn't realize most of them had less than ow/w page quality. That's one reason why I ultimately decided to ship all books for free. I should have sent the invoices much earlier. I have sent out all invoices and shipments when the $6 was paid. It still isn't clear why I was added in the first place to me as no one had any money that they had lost. But I'm glad I was able to make things right by the guys (and possibly girls) that took the time to go through my thread, buy books and finally get them. As far as my track record goes, I now ship within 1 business day on all orders since I've hired some great help for Quality Comix. My ebay feedback is stellar. I just wish I hadn't procastinated on sending out these invoices due to my lack of confidence in the page quality of a few issues. What's the probation list for if you can't ever get off the list? I am not quite sure why you didn't post this months ago? That would have made more sense, but you never answered, just ignored the issue. The probation list is to protect the community from people who act in less than an acceptable, safe manner. This is the third time I can remember you having had a problem shipping books and you were on this thread. It was not last year, but prior times. Each time you were your usual charming self...but waiting for months to respond here, just seems to be less than remorseful. Personally, I think we need some time to hear from the people who were upset...and there is the issue of recidivism. How many times is it OK to not ship, or respond in a timely manner? That's fine to wait to hear from everyone. I'm not attempting to be charming. I am sorry as I've said above. 1 boardie wanted his purchases from the thread for a signing and after the date passed he no longer needed them. Please point out any time I was on the probation list or discussed in the probation thread as I don't recall anything. There was a time about 1.5 years ago that I was not responsive to a boardie (not on the boards) but thru my site. That situation was resolved to his satisfaction. There was a family situation at the time I was dealing with. As far as recidivism, that is insulting to the 99.9% of transactions that are perfect between me and my customers. I realize I've screwed this up by not sending out invoices. And I was not responsive at 1 point about 1.5 years ago. I don't do just a few transactions a year. I do literally thousands. I have tried to make things right. If that's not enough, then there's nothing more I can do.

  3. I request to be removed from the probation list. I was put on for not sending invoices out on my april sales thread. That has been done and all who have paid so far have been shipped out. On a side note, all boardies who purchased got their books for $6. Books were free. The $6 was just to cover shipping. If I've missed an invoice or anyone has any problems with their order, pm me and I will take care of it asap.
  4. Yep, and I believe the intent of probation lists are for a) buyers who don't pay on time or b) sellers who don't ship books after being paid.
  5. The books from that thread are all here and ready to be shipped. Everything that is ever paid for via the boards, ebay or QualityComix.com will be shipped and shipped promptly. Check out my feedback on ebay. I hadn't sent out PM invoices but I didn't think that is sufficient to be discussed in a Probation thread.
  6. Purchased a Hulk 181 from Joey. Quick ship and great communication. First class all the way!
  7. Great seller, quick shipment and a great all around guy, Thanks!!
  8. I picked up an unrestored #9 I'll see if I can post in the next few days.
  9. This is the wrong thread I know, but I also noticed they have a tec 27 5.5.
  10. 3 is second to 13 and 12...there have been only 3 issues of 13 I have seen for sale in the past 6 years or so, 4 copies of 12, and 5 copies of issue 3... that is why I rank them in that order (thumbs u Interesting b/c there are 11 unrestored #13s on the census. And for example only 5 unrestored #9s. naturally # of slabbed copies doesn't always correlate to what is made available in the market. And I am not excluding restored and raw (thumbs u i think restored and unrestored are 2 different markets. But that's just me. You don't mind restored books.

  12. Did you already rank them by the hardest to find in this thread? Which issue do you think is the toughest of the first 13 issues?
  13. Accurately graded books and fast shipping. Combine that with reasonable prices and you have a great seller. Thanks Cristian.
  14. Red, We must be buying from the same bargain bin. I have a lot of those Arlin Ira Fegley (AIF) books. I heard that he was a collector in Jersey who died 10-15 years ago and the books were auctioned off with the rest of his estate. Do you know the real story? He liked crime comics a lot. Several of my Crime and Punishment issues have his signature. The interior of the books usually are white or off white. bb Thanks for the info. All I had heard before was his name and that he was a well known collector. I bought this copy raw from PokerKid, who bought it from QualityComix. I wonder how many other people owned it between me and Arlin? I sold it as a VG 4.0 It was purchased in a collection about 2 years ago from a long time collector who only wanted #1s and first appearances. It was a massive golden age collection of almost every first appearance imaginable except Tec 27.
  15. And kudos to you Trey for prompt delivery of these books!
  16. So there was one bid at 5K but from a (0) rated buyer. Actual sale? I guess, we have to wait and find out. yes
  17. That's probably why his account was frozen in the first place. Nice work on getting your refund.
  18. I warned everyone in the thread that these were the warehouse rejects. I didn't know about the water damage, but I had seen some of the low grade warehouse copies that neatstuff peddled and they weren't nice looking at all.
  19. If anyone is interested in adding info to this well documented, I've just acquired the CGC 7.5 mod professional copy. Thanks Mark for pointing me to this thread!
  20. Hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but here's the discussion thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1976814&fpart=230 You should make your post there as this is just for buying and selling and I thought trading too, but I guess the self appointed forum police think otherwise.
  21. Thanks to all the buyers in my raise money for a house sales thread. Almost everyone paid within a week or so of the thread being closed. And that was with a majority of check payments! You guys rock.
  22. I'll be putting up 20 - 25 DC Silver Age War books this afternoon. Mostly doubles from my personal collection. Almost all are 10 centers or early big box 12 centers. Nothing above 7.0. Most are nice mid grade copies. Brent
  23. Guys, I would like to send out a huge public thank you to Comick1 for letting me drool over his beautiful war books for a few hours when I was in SD last weekend. I only wish I had more time. Maybe next year! Thanks again Mick! Brent
