Tonight I'll be listing some nice late silver/ early bronze age Batmans from 8.0 - 9.2. Also, a nice looking FF #50, a Hulk #180, and a few misc DC late silver / early bronze in nice shape.

I tend to agree. I don't foresee the census numbers for DC war ever being equal to DC superhero of the same period. If war books are thin, then westerns must be non existent. go back to reading the western comics collecting thread. Oh wait, there isn't one! It's always a mixture of desirability and scarcity. Westerns are scarce but not nearly as desirable as war books. I think there are far more war collectors than western collectors. I could be wrong though.

I think these are all the Sgt. Rock prototypes: AAMOW #28, 39 OAAW #67, #81 SSWS #53 GI Combat 55, 56, #68 Anyone want to post their copies? Which one is the hardest to acquire in F/VF or better I wonder?

10 and 12 cent DC war from my personal collection will be put online tomorrow morning - probably late morning by the time I finish scanning/pricing everything. Lots of nice books in here to choose from. I'm going to shoot for 10am central (11 eastern).

Tonight we'll be listing more books from the "ww" collection. Tonight, I'll be putting up Star Spangled Comics, a few Superboy and Superman, the Shadow and maybe a few other misc titles. Should go online at around 8pm eastern. I'll update this thread as it gets closer.

Those were some nice books. I want to give this thread a as well. I have decided to list my war collection excluding my 10 cent OAAWs and big box 12 cent OAAWs. There will also be some undercopies of OAAWs listed. I'm tentatively looking at January 5th. Brent

I like this idea Andy. In the "ebay" sales thread, I posted that I'm considering putting up some of the war books from my personal collection. If and when I make a firm commitment to do so, it would be nice to put notice in a thread like this with a firm start date and even some specifics as to which books will be offered.

I just picked up a GI Combat #101 advertised as F/VF, but it's only a FN. I got it for FN guide, but am unsure about whether to return it. What do you guys think? Decent deal?

You are correct Tom. I was going to ship on 10/19 (Friday) as I said in my PM to you on 10/18, but family and I came down with a stomach bug that's going around and we were all sick thru the weekend. So we shipped on Monday 10/22 instead. I didn't raise this point, because I've already taken responsibility for the books being shipped late, and being sick that weekend is no excuse for the books not being shipped earlier. Not exactly true. The initial delay was because when you made payment via paypal, you didn't specify which books you had purchased in the paypal description like I had asked. Cool. Put up a bigger scan once you get it in. I picked up about 10 GI Combats, many were grey tones. Only a few were higher than 7.0 though.

I saved my favorite for last. A NM copy of Famous Funnies #204. The preservation of this book is incredible. The book looks like a reprint. It's that nice.
