You may be one of my customers who didn’t send in paperwork with the books. My FAQ sections states this will add significant time to the TAT.
What would really help us if I knew who you were. Please text me as it appears I am not getting all of my emails, again.
I'm in the same boat, here @joeypost. Mailed and received in early August and had no movement in the order page and questions have gone unanswered.

BUH BUH BUH Sellers/Flippers/Investors/Speculators were stating it had "unlimited upwards trajectory"
At this juncture you'd have to pay me $100 to take even a CGC 9.8 copy of the book to justify wasting the space to store it!
Who said that?
Not for nothing, it’s a really great story and will probably always have some price memory built in.

The Walking Dead.
We had a thread almost a decade ago talking about how that book was dead in the water. Still chugging.
Is the show even on TV? I stopped watching mid way through 2017.
There are probably others but this one has surprised me.
Good call.

It's because the movie was bad....
Though, I suspect there's no way the book could have maintained those prices even had it been a cinematic masterpiece.
Is there any modern book that’s maintained it’s pre-movie hype price after release? UF4, maybe? Ignoring comic boom hysteria, of course.

Can't speak to that particular person but many of the people who work at Heritage are also fans and collectors. The head of Movie posters at the Texas location has bought comics from me many times and a few of the people who work at the Bev Hills branch in LA have bid on art or music ephemera. Doubt it has much to do with flipping and more to do with being stoked on the same things you are.

Same thing happened to one of my books a few months ago. It was not a high dollar or sentimental book so it didn't personally matter to me but seeing it happen to others is a bummmmmmer. Sorry, dude!

I’ve heard mixed bag on Berserk.
A coworker of mine recommended it as it was his go to book, but said its flaw was that it was caught in a story loop.
He was just frustrated that it kept repeating itself and hadn’t wrapped up any of its plot threads.
Now with the creator gone, I don’t know if I’d want to hop on board.Meant to respond to this earlier but got busy.
That's a completely fair critique about the loops it can get into (especially the quest/character intro/battle subplots that happen a lot in serial manga). For me, the infrequency in which I read the series helped me either forget or not notice that. If you read it all in one shot, I bet it gets tedious - like how mid series Breaking Bad gets into loops that are tedious.
But superficially, the visuals do a LOT of heavy lifting for series.
Not sure what's in store for the series now that Kintaro has passed away but it's still sort of chugging along.

Can’t recommend Berserk enough. The end of the Golden Age arc is one of the biggest gut punches I’ve ever read in comics.
just solid character development, fantastic design, and horrifying action.

Bumping these thangs. I just set a 2 year GPA low on the X-Men 94 so cheers to that! Also means that you can get books for cheap.
Help me set some new GPA lows! Except the Spawn. Spend a lot of money on that one, please.

Yo gang! Have 12 slabs ending in a few days. The Darkhawk 43 9.8 is extra spicy!

It wasn't my intent to make you sound like a dog but it was my intent to make it sound like they have a dog whistle.
Well, at least thank you for saying they aren't notifying on me.
To your question, pretty sure everyone knows when I get all my strikes. My life has been the most exciting board game in years.
Dude. The way you write about yourself on these boards, you are constantly (at the same time) the greatest victim and the greatest champion. Your persecution complex is only matched by your weirdly high self-image. Add some religiosity and conspiratorial thinking (which you do - often) and you would be one hell of a cult leader.

Anyone having luck cracking the new magazine slabs? Have some pointers?

Yes, but sadly, istn't that CGC's bread and butter to try to convince you to submit books in for grading (and for pressing if you are overdosing on their juice) that are otherwise basically worthless?
I don’t think they tried to convince everybody. It’s seems more like low information people saw slabs selling higher than their raw books and assumed getting something grading increased the value - not figuring the why the value was increased.
I see it everyday on Facebook and Reddit where people ask the same questions about whether they should slab their mid grade uncanny 300.

Band-aids.
CGC made a very bad decision, and we're given band-aids.
Band-aids that CGC doesn’t even allow - unless you permanently change your return address to a Walgreens.
I would LOVE to be able to redirect my packages through CGC and not have to cross my fingers that some idiotic work around helps solve a problem that CGC created.
-
Update: package was left at my apartment door and they signed for it. No knock.
Definitely not a single driver issue, either. This happened when I lived in florida, too.
-
I sent my first batch of raw books last week and I’ll see how they do. Expecting some downgrades but it’s stuff I have like, $1 in so it doesn’t matter all that much.
-
I want to keep bumping this because FedEx is SO terrible and CGC sucks for using them.
This is now the 4th submission in a row where I get a notification that my package from CGC is being delivered on X date and they just never show up. I get a "we tried to deliver" message and they 100% did NOT. Repeat that for 3 days until the last day where they just leave it at my front door with no signature.

Great analogy, because now, as we speak FAKE BEEF is being labelled as food when it isn't actually food.
So the parallel is the same and the same rules apply - the sky may not fall now but it will certainly fall eventually. And THAT is what the discussion is about.
The longer term effects and how we get there.
I’m confused about the fake beef comment. What do you mean it isn’t food? Can you eat it? Does it have nutritional value?
I wouldn’t ever live solely on Beyond burgers but it is 100% food in literally every definition of the word.

As you grow old (like me), you have LESS patience. You have less time left to live. Certainly one day less than you had yesterday.
Unless it's a California workday, then it actually increases the time left.
Was gonna say - this doesn’t sound like a young person being entitled.
If you’ve ever worked retail or costumer service, it’s rare to have an irrationally demanding costumer that’s young. The belligerent crowd is almost always 50+.
This cover is horrible, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar!

It's stylized. Whether you like the style or not does not make it suck. It's like saying Kirby sucked. Or Sienkewicz sucked. Or any number of artists that de-skill or stylize their work but have the chops to back it up. I certainly don't like it but it's obvious the dude knows how to illustrate.
