This thread well documents their screw ups (some of them being massive screw ups) but it seems like some of y’all make a hobby of seeking out problems.

Just had a batch of about 22 slabs be processed and ready for pricing in 3 days. Sickkkkkk.

Modern submission of 16 books received 4/12, received into system on 4/25, G/E/I on 4/27 and shipped on 5/3 (15 business days)
Modern FAST TRACK submission of 22 books received 4/12, received into system on 4/25, G/E/I on 4/27 and still sitting…..(15 business days)
Walkthrough submission of 2 books received 4/12, received into system on 4/25, G/E/I on 4/27, in quality on 5/1 and still sitting…. (15 business days)
So, modern cycle time is better than fast track and walkthrough right now. But, to be fair, the grading is horrible, so they may have been graded without removing from the bag.
Horrible how so? My last submission seemed very soft. I was really surprised at some of the 9.8s.

I just want to go back in time to those 2008ish $1 bins that Bedrock would have at Megacon. I’ll sometime be driving and randomly think, “Damn. Should have bought all those.”

Oof.

It’s not up for debate on whether or not it’s safer now vs the 70s/80s - it 100% is. But it definitely feels crazier because of 24 hour news and social media.
That sucksssss that a book that big was stolen but man, Greg sucks. Every interaction I’ve ever had with him has been negative.

Question that might seem personal, what is the wait time like to ship and have them listed and sold? I'm sure it is case by case and maybe no real determination to be made. I like the idea for the selling securities, and yet it seems even being close to me like it is too time consuming. I'm not persuaded of the need quite yet, but sounds like a good service regardless. Just different reasons for every user I guesss?
Never had it take more than 2 weeks.

Last night I saw an intriguing ad for a yard sale advertising “1,000s of rare comics” as its lead. Naturally I was dismissive and scoffed it off as a euphemism thinking it’d be a swap meet dealer unloading undesirable overstock. It was far, no pics and no prices so I didn’t bother. Boy, I wish I had. Here’s what my friend got for $1 each. He filled about three longboxes
Ah rad! Just saw his FB post about it. Stoked it went to one of y’all, at least.

I spoke with someone else who sells on MCS. I like them and frequently order books there. I’ve never sold through them. Do you sell on auction or BIN ?
I sell almost all my slabs there with sales from $100 up to 10k. I highly recommend that. Never sold raw.
I’ve done a mix of BINs and auctions. Mixed results w the auctions but onesthat sold high more than make up the difference in disappointing results.

With almost anything over $100, I’m getting more and more happy to send it to MCS and forgo eBay entirely. It’s still the place for selling lots and things in the $15-50 range, I think.
however it does add to shipping costs a bit.

One day I might subject myself to the pain of attempting to watch it, but that day is a long way off. I have not watched Ant-Man 2 (I only went to Ant-Man 3 with some collector friends, otherwise it was more terrible than expected despite going in with extremely low expectation) or No-BP 2, and do not plan to either.
BP2 was completely decent but not very exciting. But that’s how I felt about the first one, too.

Love and Thunder has such great source material and it’s wild what we ended up with. I made it all the way through and didn’t hate it, but man…what a sloppy edit and missed opportunity.

I’m about to pull half my eBay stuff and just send them to MCS. It’s been brutal this month.
