  1. Thanks for the kind words guys. It's got me wanting to shoot for a Contact run now. Maybe a New Years resolution!
  2. Pretty excited to be able to add this one to my collection...
  3. I'm practically seeing double. Unbelievable. Congrats on such a great pick-up!!!
  4. May I be the first to say...HOLY !!! THAT IS NICE!!!
  5. Just received a nice book from Andy bought off the boards. Great communication and a real nice guy. You can't go wrong in working with him. Thanks so much Andy!
  6. Congrats! What a great piece of history. I drool every time I see one of those, and that one looks fantastic!
  7. Typically a nobody in football. But to be fair, it's amazing how Duke has progressed over the past few years with Coach Cutcliffe. They've really built a solid team with some speed and real talent. Duke's 10 win season is unprecedented in the history of the University. Are they strong enough to beat FSU? Not a chance. But I think they have a good shot to cover the spread at least.
  8. I agree! Here's mine from the Diamond Run collection:
  9. I love this one too. I have a lower graded one (what isn't compared to a Mile High?!), and I could stare it all day. The colors and cover art are so fantastic. Nice.
  10. Great book! It just seems like a classic western cover.
  11. That is probably my favorite Atlas set Bill. Congrats!!! Wonderful books for reading and just charming art to boot. (thumbs u I love the Maneely art. I bet it's a great read as well!
  12. Oh, wow. That's just a beautiful cover. I've always liked Lee Elias's work, especially on some of the horror books like Witches Tales. He really crafted a beauty with this one. That one was on my list to go after but I completely forgot about the auction. I liked it so much that I went out and bought this one on comicconnect today (admittedly a little more expensive). I think it's a consigned copy, so hopefully I'll actually get it delivered in hand at some point

  14. Me too. (worship) Me three (worship) Thanks guys. I'm on
  15. I got this one in today. Detroit Trolley Copy of Famous Funnies 81... This one arrived today as well. I'm now officially broke
  16. One just popped up in the marketplace. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6966374 How about that for timing
  17. So, what's your take on Mitch's post a bit ago about major, major issues looming in our comic book world which will need to be addressed? Is the doom and gloom warranted?
  18. Top shelf boardie! Prompt payment is an understatement. Jay was a pleasure to work with. Big time kudos. Thanks!
  19. I thinks WW keys are already making a correction in price. I've been after an All-Star 8 for about 3 years now, and keep watching it slip out of my reach. Heck, I can't even find any for sale anymore regardless the price. Someone is hoarding...
  20. Great books! Why does #3 say "Origin and 1st appearance of Cyclone"? Is that just a misprint? Nice pickups!
  21. Great books. I really love the Detroit Trolley Hi-Spot. It's a beauty
  22. Great pickup! That's gotta be one of the best Horror covers out there. A high quality black cover and flaming skull . Nice!
