  1. I think it is too. Glad I could help. You guys rock! My first Okajima
  2. The Space Adventures or action 23? s.a., cuz it's got this code. Great eyes, Gentlemen. I think you all might be right. Here's a couple more (not mine), and they all seem to have similar handwriting (the "8" even has the same wavy open top circle). And the Space Adventures: Thanks so much for pointing that out. (thumbs u
  3. That's certainly one on my "want list". I love the colors on that one. Great book!
  4. Clean copy. Four color comics, right? Yep. I had a good buying experience with them. Glad to take this one off their hands Does it have a small date stamp on the top of the back cover? I think it may be a Pedigree. No, unfortunately not. There's some kind of ink mark top right, but it doesn't seem to look like a date stamp. Bummer.
  5. Clean copy. Four color comics, right? Yep. I had a good buying experience with them. Glad to take this one off their hands
  6. Thanks Rick. Some cool covers (and stories) on parts of the run (first 12 and some of the later Ditko issues). While not overly cheap, the prices on Space Adventure books can still be fairly reasonable.
  7. Also picked up SA #2 recently, and love the cover of this one:
  8. Recently picked this one up. Though it has a 1/4 in (or less) spine split, it presents very well for the grade. I'm planning to work on the first dozen or so of the Space Adventures run (some really cool covers!)
  9. Wow. Both of those US Jones 2 books are beauties. The color on this one is just amazing. One day I hope to have a #2 to spend time with my #1. They're so tough to find!!
  10. Glad to receive this one this week from a boardie, and at a reasonable price (especially given the recent uptick in GPA)
  11. I was interested in that one as well, but it looked like it had a rather dirty front cover (and rusty staples?). Probably not a 7.5 in the CGC world, but it was tempting until the bid took off north of $2k.
  12. Great books here. The Schomburg covers are simply amazing. I only have one, and it's not quite as cool as the earlier war covers, but the colors really pop on this one:
  13. I don't think I ever posted this one, but seeing that an 8.0 copy just sold today for $1,379 on ebay , I'm quite happy to have this copy:
  14. I finally got around to digging out a couple of Mads that were my Dads, and thought I'd share. They're in nice condition and still have the inserts which is cool. I'm not much of a MAD collector, so trying to decide if its worth slabbing them or just parting with them on ebay or the forums. Anyway, here are some photos:
  15. Glad to have one of these cool Space Western oddities:
  16. I agree that maybe semi-key (?) is the right term for these. And I'd certainly rank them in order of importance just like you have them (SA Origin first, then "Aquaman tryout", then 1st issue of ongoing). I'd think eventually the market will elevate Adv 260 to the top of the list from a desirability (and $) perspective, but they all three have plenty to offer in terms of importance (though the application of the term "key" is and will continue to be debatable).
  17. It seems the words "key" and "rare" (separate GA discussion currently) get thrown around quite a bit lately. The interpretation of the words mean something different to each individual, so I'm not sure that there's there's a perfect line in the sand that differentiates a "key" from a non-key. Rare may be a little more quantitative, but "key" is certainly in the eye of the beholder. I tend to err on the conservative (?) side of the word and use "key" for very crucial or pivotal events in comics (and I don't even consider all 1st appearances of minor characters as "key"). In my definition, I'm not sure many SA Aquaman comics qualify at all. I'd interpret the 1st GA Aquaman to be a major key, the origin of Aquaman (Arthur) to also be of significant importance, and of course the creation of the Justice League (with Aquaman) as "key". After that, I don't think anything else qualifies in my book. Of course, I'm also one that doesn't think the 1st appearance of Lobo or X-23 or even Ms Marvel as a "key". I can see the merits of Showcase 30, and I get that it's a "key" comic for a lot of folks. I just don't subscribe to adding the word "key" to just about every minor event that's happened in 80+ years of comic storytelling. But this one is certainly debatable, I'll give you that.
  18. Based on the current market values, it is 1) SC 30 - small gap - 2) Aquaman 1 --big gap-- 3) Adventure 260 Which is why I said "order of importance," not current market values. I'd agree that Adventure 260 is a more important book (and of course BB28 tops them all). I think the market is missing the boat by embracing SC 30 as the "key" SA Aquaman book. It's still an important book, has Aquaman on the cover, and helps set up a solo title. But to me it's not as important as the origin of Arthur Curry in Adventure 260. Maybe a book to scoop up while it's still relatively cheap?
  19. Great book everyone. I'm really enjoying seeing some amazing comics! Here's a 2 issue run that you don't see too often:
  20. Seeing the Warlord comic/toy made me think about the Starriors line. Swiped this image off of ebay, but I'm sure I have all the Marvel mini-comics that came with the toys, and may still have a toy or two lying around somewhere as well. I enjoyed the 4 issue mini-series (regular size comic) growing up and went through a phase with collecting these toys. They were a lot of fun.
  21. Love the red background on that one. Great book!!!
  22. Thanks for the kudos. I'm real happy with both of these
