  1. It's redundant to say "great episode of The Shield" That's one I was sad to see go off the air.
  2. Beautiful. If it's the same book, I remember bidding on this a few years ago at, I think, Heritage: 8.5, white pages, perfect registration -- a real gem. I believe it to be an historically significant book as a first hint of the Marvel Age --- the first Lee/Kirby/Ditko/Heck book of the long running series. (thumbs u How does this book hint at the Marvel Age? JIM 50/ST 67 are when the Kirby/Ditko work began.
  3. Awesome book. Just a standout Heath smash hit.
  4. Holey Moley, what a nice assortment! Close up on the Franky, please! And the Captain Video And the Lorna!!!!! And the socks!!! Are those Gold Toes?
  5. I always took the "exclusive offer" to mean that as long as it was being discounted exclusively on the boards you could leave the books up on your website. But now that I think about it, listing a book on CLINK, etc and then offering 10% off here isn't a discount. I would push for something more along the lines of at least 25% off for exclusivity (making it a true discount). And I would obviously have no problem with Bunky listing 50% off in this forum.
  6. Some recommendations I would make are to start ONE thread for GA books. List the books in there one time, and one time only. When you have new books to add, add them to that thread instead of creating another. You've had several books listed 2 or 3 times in different threads, including the Action 13. Then do the same for SA/BA books.
  7. Just listed a few SA DC war & washtones in the selling forum. I'll be listing about 20 more later tonight, although those will be later SA & BA. Figured you guys would appreciate a heads-up.
  8. It has a little impact crease on the top right corner. So technically it is the right grade. But this is definitely one of those books that can't be beat for eye appeal and all those things we love in our high grade funnybooks. As far as I'm concerned, the closer they look to the day they were printed the better. Even if they have a dent here or a ding there. Agreed. I got to flip through about 50 Gaines File Copies last night - what a sight. Simply unbelievable how sharp the edges and corners are. It was just like seeing them new.
  9. Why did that one only garner a VF? I remember it being much nicer.

  12. Thanks for sharing the interior shots! Captain Science 4 looks like a keeper.
  13. Great book. Baker was at the top of his game drawing Rust throughout that one.
  14. That's the 2nd or 3rd finest submarine Everett drew for Atlas! (which is bait for adamstrange to post the finest...)
  15. Mine. Bought back from 143ksk after I foolishly traded it away to him. He knew he had me ... then named his price and I was glad to get it back. Incidentally, IIRC, I bought this one from HouseofComics - I'm pretty sure adamstrange won't win this one, unfortunately, I probably won't either.
  16. :applause: Buttock's gonna cry over this one. I believe he is still looking for a nice copy of this issue ... which you have! I've got a pretty decent copy, but not this nice! Great book. ... which leaves me with the poor man's copy Can I play? No fair, you always win!

  18. Is this really a "Key" book? It was published 2 years after the first DC war book (OAAW 1) so it's not the first DC war book (far from it). It has no recurring characters. The title itself is the 4th or 5th most popular of the "Big Five" and carried the 5th or 6th most remembered continuous character (pair) when it did finally get continuity (Rock, HT, Dinos, Enemy Ace, then I think it's a push between Cloud, Pooch, and Gunner & Sarge) - and it wasn't even the title in which they premiered. There's no Kubert, no Heath. Overstreet has an anachronistic tendency to always push the first issue of a title as a key and assign some arbitrary value to that, but in many cases it's not true. And I think this is one of them.
