Someone recounted seeing DD trimming a book years ago. I can't recall if it was on the boards or not -- but at any rate, this was a low-tech operation. Essentially a hand-held razor. That would have been enough to get by most collectors prior to CGC.

That is a super tough book! Have been looking for a copy for a while, and have yet to see one for sale. If you ever decide to part with it, let me know. Harvey reprints - from the small size Pocket, Speed and Spitfire issues. It's the digest-sized equivalent of Double Comics -- which was from the same publisher. Only the 2nd copy I've seen (the other was a FR at best). Jeff, have you seen another?
