  1. Alright, another thread on pre-Robin 'Tecs! Yay! calling sacentaur...
  2. Still a good deal for that book. One of the best, and not easy in grade. I LOVE that cover. I swear I can hear the grinding of brick and mortar as that statue loosens himself from the mantel. That is an awesome cover. Tough as nails in grade, for sure. Beautiful copy, Andy! The innards are pretty darn cool too IIRC.

  4. GA section isn't much better with half the first page being about Action 1 or 7 or 13 or pre-Robin Detectives. More war you say?
  5. Oh yeah, I remember those. Got a dozen or so from there IIRC.
  6. Want to get that down to a managable 1 or 2?
  7. Love that book, Dan. The colors and the squish graphic that expresses the moment of impact for that rifle butt are reminiscent of underground comics that came out more than a decade later. Yeah! And check out the guys face and flower in his helmet! Just weirdo. The colors are so out of place on a war book.
  8. Here are a few more non-DC/non-Atlas Salidas. Adding to my shame of selling the Salida War 11, I also sold the Salida Foxhole 4.
  9. I'm down to a paltry 3 or 4 Centaurs left. Some day...
  10. That's a great one. The logo and the white background sort of detract from the overall appeal, but the image is phenomenal Heath goodness.
  11. Cool, I've never seen that one before!
  12. The Midgets are uncommonly seen. Not sure if it's due to scarcity or lack of demand, but that #1 was only the 3rd copy I can recall seeing.
  13. Gorgeous Mick!!! One of my favorite covers of all time, and one that was a monumental task for me to find in lowly FN condition. Easily one of the tougher pre-1960 covers. As a side note, the G.I. jumping out of the tree looks JUST like Russ Heath looked back in those days. Russ was fond of using a mirror to get facial expressions... sometimes they came out looking like him, like on this cover. Great, great, great books these days guys! Shep Here are a couple of other self-portraits.
  14. From fellow collectors, many moons ago. Since you're answering questions about them... can I have them? Please? Pretty please?
  15. Scrooge, thank you for sharing those. Just wonderful pictures, must have been a lot of fun!
  16. WOW - deja vu!! Very similar story...I had neighbors over. Started talking hobbies. I show off some comics from when we were kids. He couldn't believe it. Geeking, yadda, yadda, yadda. Here's where things got different...as I was putting them away he said, "Man, you are suuuuuch a nerd." Sort of awesome, I guess. Anyway, thanks for the story (thumbs u I thought that was your standard farewell & greeting
