  1. I think it was something like "$3 for a scan, but if you buy the book no charge"
  2. Fantastic stuff! It's crazy to see a book that you've searched for for over a decade, and the nicest copy is a 4.5.
  3. On occasion I had someone mail me a color copy prior to committing to a book. Those were the days!
  4. I'm going to flip through it tonight, maybe we can talk this weekend about strategizing!
  5. Good news everyone, I just got my catalog for this auction in the mail today.
  6. I've spoken with people at CGC directly about this, and there are videos all over the internet about people getting PLOD with this technique. If you take it too far it's obvious.
  7. CGC is absolutely treating this as restoration with a PLOD. It's not always detected, but when it is it gets a purple label.
  8. Collecting is still magical for me after 30 years. Sorry to hear it's not enjoyable for you any longer.
  9. What are thoughts on this? Seems in line with sales over the past 2 years, but it's not a book that I expect to stagnate.
  10. I had the toy of that MASK Camaro as a kid. I ended up trading it for Motley Crue's Theater of Pain on cassette which led to my rapid descent to juvenile delinquency. And now I'm obligated to link the single greatest song in the history of mankind.
  11. There's a doctoral dissertation pending on the Sandman:Garfield ratio as a metric for the economy.
  12. I was scrolling through this auction a few days ago, if you're a BA/Copper OA collector it's absolutely packed.
  13. I thought it would be interesting to see comics where superheroes got involved in the war efforts. Timely seemed to really embrace that, which seemed to bite them pretty hard when the war ended. DC was much less apt to do so, doing a better job of developing supervillains for their heroes to battle, but did have the odd tie to WW2. I'll start with sharing some of the books where Fawcett tried to tie in to the Korean war as that genre was thriving.
  14. Start with your earliest Action, then move on to Adventure...
  15. Spent a few days going through this whole thread. What a ride! I'd like to request that @Silver please go back and repost all of his scans that were lost on photobucket. Should just take a few minutes Danny. I recently completed this trifecta of greatness.
