  1. My single consignment with them had several books mysteriously not get paid for either. I have suspicions about how this happens, but I'll leave that to speculation.
  2. The competition from auction houses has increased, and everyone else is using a newer and better platform, while continuing to improve. Clink needs to do something to keep up, or they will continue to slip further and further down the hierarchy.
  3. I've chased these on and off for over 20 years. HR 1 is the most common (I've owned 3 copies), COL 1 is second most common, but notably rarer. HR 2 is very rare, and COL 2 is extremely rare. It's been years since I opened one, I frankly can't recall what the interiors are like.
  4. Here's a hot take: Demand for some GA is up, and for others is down.
  5. I'm trying to phrase this politely because I'm not wanting to be antagonistic. But I'm not sure what the alternative would have been to promoting the collection. And the particular phrases you highlighted are all very accurate, and to a degree understated. I think en toto the collection broke $25M, so estimating it at 40% seems like the opposite of hype.
  6. Some of us just wanted cool comics and paid what it took to get them.
  7. He was also trying to do restoration that he wasn't capable of doing. This was a completely avoidable disaster and the fault lies completely on him.
  8. Crypto guys are so 2022. I've moved on to Ukranian swindlers.
  9. The story inside is so great in that one. Congrats!
  10. Is it in a slab? Newton rings can look like that.
  11. One thing supporting this is that his armpit webbing in the published version extends to his forearm. That's not how it was intended to be, so if you bent the arm down after the original was drawn, it would end up there.
  12. Now that's a good question. I'm 6 feet and I wouldn't pay much to be an inch or two taller, I'd pay more to NOT be an inch or two shorter. But I'm not sure if I'd rather be really short or really tall.
  13. Yeah, for me the absolute floor was $100M. It would have to be enough to not only cover all the inconveniences, but also to still be a life-changing amount afterward.
  14. Every day would be inconvenient. Nothing is built for someone your size. Everybody stares at you and makes stupid comments. You don't fit in chairs, cars, clothing, shoes. Everything you use regularly would need to be custom built/sized. That would take a lot of money to justify the inconvenience.
