  1. I have a signed book I'm planning on having cracked, signed and resubmitted by a verified facilitator - when I'm submitting the order form, do I add the existing signature as well, or only the new, additional signature? (I ask mostly because I've done this once already; only added the new signature to the order form, and the label came back with only the new signature listed : / - that book has already been returned as a Mechanical Error)
  2. @Ziazmere1 SS CS said they aren't going to re-open the submissions : /
  3. Great color choices on those Inhyuk signed books @waynemel
  4. +1 @Ziazmere1 - would love to be able to send a book in. @CGC Mike, is this a job for signatureseries@?
  5. Looks like there's a bit of plastic debris in there too : / Seems really unlucky - sorry @Michael Duck. I don't understand how shipping damage can do that - not refuting your statement, but more like a question - presuming it was well packaged, the shipper had to have majorly dropped it / forcefully thrown it to the ground in order for that dent & tear to have happen, no?
  6. I just received this book, label says 9.6 - I don't see anything too crazy as far as damage & no graders notes, so no way to tell why it lost the .2 besides guesswork. The census, interestingly, says there are no 9.6s, either signed or unsigned, and only 1 signed 9.8... This doesn't strike me as a book that sees a high volume of signed copies, so I'm wondering if the label is wrong? or is the census wrong? If the label is actually wrong, I need to send this back in for a Mechanical Error.
  7. Thanks - I appreciate that @NickiO CS - I've already been in touch with Customer Service about the relevant submissions - not much to be done tbh.
  8. I'd like to request a new option for submitting SS books through a facilitator. Currently there are 2 options for what to do when, for whatever reason, the facilitator is unable to get a book signed - CGC sends the book back raw & ungraded, or CGC grades the book & sends it back. I'd like a 3rd option: Facilitator returns the book to submitter. An unsigned book that is submitted back to the CGC by the facilitator goes through 2x shipping trips (one to the CGC, one from), and is much more likely to receive damage in the process of shipping and handling than a single trip from the facilitator back to the submitter. I've had 2 books submitted to CGC recently with no visible defects, and those books have been returned to me graded, with visible defects, so I'm not that excited for any 'extra care' that CGC provides to a book that it really is just passing through the system. Additionally, if there is only a single book in an order, that book is not signed, the submitter is paying shipping from the facilitator to the CGC, and then an extra $20 for shipping from CGC, when the book could just be sent once from the facilitator to the submitter. Passing a book through CGC's processes, when it is just going to be returned raw anyway, seems like additional risk that a submitter shouldn't need to take.
  9. Those are the largest letters I've ever seen him write, and they're still really small
  10. Carey Jones Thx to @DELTA 62 for the always excellent facilitation
  11. I've had a couple books ship in the last couple days, which is progress - but I do feel like my book statuses are all over the place - I just received books I submitted at NYCC, but quite a few I submitted over the summer are still either in CCS or waiting to get to CCS - doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why some are moving through quicker
  12. fwiw @Thawk I ended up modifying one of CGC's yellow window bags for the sketch cover - I popped the book in, measured where I wanted the space, and then cut the window bag window to extend the available area - it came out great.
  13. IG-88 by Bill Hargraves - thanks to AlphaOmega for the facilitation and the extra pic of the the book actually being signed!
  14. I had these 2 books shipped today - they were about as minty fresh as I have seen a book when I sent them in, and were clocked in at 9.6s: https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/2808050001/ https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/2808050003/ There are 4 in the series, and the other two were graded 9.8s. There are no notes for any of them, and I can maybe see a couple of minor issues with the first book, but the 2nd book I'm really at a loss as to why it got the knock. I certainly have 9.8s that have more noticeable defects than 2808050003. Would genuinely like thoughts on issues these books might have. Maybe something will pop up when I have them in hand & will follow up.
  15. Poison Ivy by Sebastian Fiumara - my first ever sketch cover & I couldn't be happier with it
  16. Thx @DELTA 62 - that's more or less the theme I'm running with - I've had to make a couple of exceptions here and there, but as I get the books in hand I'll be sure to post them here.
  17. Ian McDiarmid: Was hoping for at least a 9.6 on this one (no noticeable defects...), but unfortunately, this book picked up a 'very small crease right bottom of front cover' during its time at CGC/CCS.... Still looks nice tho.
  18. Hi - CS was kind enough to reply via text on a weekend about how to simply write the custom label on the order - I'm all set - thx!
  19. @CGC Mike I'm trying to submit a Black Panther book for a signing, but the only options when I select it are Spiderman and the custom label: is there a work around for this? these labels don't see particularly appropriate & I've seen this before with other books thx!

More kudos! I've bought a couple times from Ed with great results - even had a couple of returns that were processed in record time. Will definitely keep an eye on his threads.
  21. Looks in better shape than the one I sent in for grading I’d say go for it! I’d guess 8.5 or higher w a press
