I find these type of arguments are always a battle with wives.....I had to convince my better half to get internet at the cottage, and now it's completely booked solid for the winter - which will pay all the taxes and utilities for the year. Same thing with comics, first thing is - why don't you sell it. Well, I'm not selling my X-Men 1 because it goes up in value every year. And I don't want to and you can't make me!

Beauty book!! I have quite a few UK silver and bronze books, including X-Men 100. They tend to sell for a discount, not a premium, but regardless that was an excellent buy!

X-Men 1 was a very under-rated key for a long, long time.....funny local story, a guy I know has a beauty 6.0! A couple years back I tried to workout a cash and trade deal, last I heard he still has it. Several years back he offered it locally (on the can. craigslist Kijiji) for 2k CAD - which was a bargain to the going rate (I think going rate was around $2500). He had so many low ball offers, even some cheap that offered him $1900, so he declined them all and kept it - sometimes the best decision you make, is not pulling the trigger on a deal!

Unless there's a comic digger in there to shield the load. I'm waiting for the day someone posts a pic of a pile of collapsed comic shelving, with a pair of legs sticking out like the Wicked Witch of the East!

Are your boxes all shorts? How many would you say you have, and is it easy to pull down the ones on the top shelf? I love the total space you have, it's like a functional warehouse (speaking of which last night I drove past the local Amazon warehouse, it might be the largest industrial/commercial building I've ever seen!).

I think in the antique threads someone (1Cool?) posted about falling down shelving while digging for comics! Don't let that individual in! LOL

Well I'm in Canada, but it should get there in 2 days....yes I don't want to ship them back either, but there's no way I'm keeping these books or selling them in these holders. It's the worst movement I've ever seen on a book....if they were high grade the corners would have already been damaged....

I've had them move around in slabs before, nothing like this. The slightest movement moves them up and down at a quick pace. They graded the X-Men 1 a week before and it doesn't do that, this batch must have missed the QA stage....CGC will send me a prepaid envelope to send everything back. I don't feel comfortable selling these books like this.

Just got my four express books back, and the books are sliding easily back and forth inside the slab! Has the inner well been re-designed? This is awful, I worry about long term damage to these books.....

Little or big it's a bargain, $1 a piece for the complete set!
