  1. For the 70s, it’s ABBA for me. Unfortunately they aren’t that big in the USA. Reading some bronze comics and listening to ABBA Coming out with some new material this year.
  2. whoever won the auction, obviously has no worries when it comes to money. so to us common dudes, it's a big deal and we get to blast away on blah blah but that winner probably could care less.
  3. appears that way, $20k over the predicted hammer seems a bit wacky for the pedigree but 2 guys with lots of extra money to spend and hold onto the book
  4. Looks like the high bidder put in a bid above the high to protect himself It appears valid since Comiclink would kick out the bidder if they knew he couldn't pay for it by now. couple of hours have passed and the bid is still standing
  5. Possible reasons for an increased interest? 1. Last months comiclink auction 2. This month's comiclink auction 3. This thread(maybe)
  6. Been following raw copies of 1071. Appears it’s caught on. Bidding history has multiple bidders with high number of feedback
  7. heritage has the best pics of the 3 different auction houses. they are bright and vibrant. that being said, I've been disappointed getting books back from heritage on some occasion(pics look better on website than in real life). they have better lighting on their pics. someone mentioned they take pictures instead of scanning their books. a white light brings the best out in regards to color
  8. 2 nicely wrapped 9.8 sold for $38,400 and $39,000 within the last 3 months. One of them belongs to a board member I believe. https://comics.ha.com/itm/bronze-age-1970-1979-/the-incredible-hulk-181-marvel-1974-cgc-nm-mt-98-white-pages/a/7192-91069.s?ic4=OtherResults-SampleItem-Thumbnail-022817&tab=ArchiveSearchResults-012417
  9. It would add value if it would distinguish that the reds, whites or whatever color on the book are actually bright and vibrant instead of being bright and vibrant due to photoshop manipulation. Some books I get and i'm happily surprised because it was scanned poorly. Others I've gotten and I have been disappointed due to photoshop manipulation
  10. I've bought from ebay and a huge online dealer from texas in 2019 and wasn't charge taxes
  11. I believe if it hits $40k, the CVA sticker doesn't hurt but I doubt it is the reason for the extra bump. It has a nicely wrapped spine, a premium vs other 9.8s that are missing this trait. One can see the book's eye appeal with or without the cva sticker pointing it out
  12. there's a couple of other bronze marvel books that is off your list
  13. pretty good collection that you have there if the conan's are the bottom end of your collection
  14. 4 different copies of 1071 from 3 different coutries on eBay in addition to comiclink auction.
  15. I’m a big spider man guy but I like cap 1 in golden age. Cap 1 over bat 1 for me. I see cap 1 with a lot of room upward, just like af15 before it’s spike a couple of years ago. Reason is that prices are still reasonable from entry to mid grade with lots of media attention now and moving forward
