And while were at it, got these too
Sweet! I loved Blowtorch as a kid! I keep thinking about picking some of my favorites graded, where do you get yours?
-

I picked one of these up a few years ago, I love it. I sent it in to be graded and it came back 9.6 (green label of course).
I'll have to get a scan or pic of it!
Great to see another copy and get the back story!

After finally moving to our new permanent home in January, I finally found some time to display some of my comic related stuff in my new office. Enjoy the pics.
Marvel 25th Anniversary poster, GI Joe printing plate, Archie original art
Cool printing plate! Where did you pick that up from???

Very cool!

I've been thinking on this...how many GI Joe comic "completists" do you think there are out there? People like me looking for every cover, variant, etc, raw or graded? 100? 1000?
I know of myself and 2 others that are crazy fanatics about getting every book.
Always looking for some Joe book I didn't know existed!!! We should compare notes!
-
I'm a little crazy about this cover and have collected these so far:
Thanks to OV and Par2ch for their help!
-
Anyone stoked for the movie? I looks much better than the first one.
I didn't mind the first one although I thought it could have been better. I'm looking forward to the new one!

Just thought I'd share this with some fellow GI JOE fans...
I commissioned Larry Hama to do a Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow sketch. Then I had a mat cut, found a frame in a store, found a 'Joe decal online, put it all together and got
YOOOO JOE!
VERY VERY AWESOME!!!

Looks like its in decent shape too; although hard to tell with that pic.

just got this back from CGC:
I know, I know...2.5.... but I thought it would be fun to get one CGC'd....
- I like it!
-
I was lucky at ECCC this year and was able to get Larry Hama's sig for my #155 which I subbed for Sig Series grading. He also did a quick little Snake Eyes sketch for me on a blank card I had brought. I can post a pic if anyone is interested.
Absolutely!!!

A bettter question? Is there a G.I Joe comic set that Silent Master hasn't read, know all the details of or leads the registry in?
- it's just because I have OCD.
I hear ya. I have two climate controlled 10x20 units full of unopened G.I. Joe, Transformers, MOTU, and various toys. I'm slowly working on getting my Marvel collection back.
Take some pics! That sounds like an awesome collection! (thumbs u
+1 That sounds awesome!

Thanks!! Do you as a collector/reader really consider it a continuation of the Marvel line or not considering they did start off with the FCBD 155 1/2 and didn't renumber it? I did just order the IDW G.I. Joe #1 Subscription Cover with the Baroness on it and hoping it's not a flop.
I do. Hama's done a good job picking up his same story line he left off in the 1990's. He's made a few mistakes (it's been a lot of years so I understand) but nothing too bad.
Although I absolutely hate the constant restarting at #1, the new series does look good! Keep in mind the IDW rebooted GI Joe is not the same continuity as the old Marvel series so you might notice some differences.
-
Is anyone reading the IDW series after 155? Just curious on thoughts of the series.
It's had its ups and downs. I believe it's much better than 125ish thru 154 of the series. Overall I've enjoyed it.

Yes, the 2nd printings of 3, 4 and 5 were all printed at the same time as issue #11. You can tell becuase of the ads on the back cover and throughout the book match to issue #11.Interesting...I didn't know that about #3. I knew they were different, and I have both, though I didn't realize there was a "second print" as it were
Comicconxion is correct - these 2nd prints of 3, 4, & 5 are not marked 2nd print anywhere and match issue 11 when it comes to ads and back cover.
Example:
These are #3 1st prints with this back cover ad
These is the #3 2nd print that matches #11 ads and back cover:
Here's issue #11
Any 3, 4, or 5 with an M price box with the Jedi Arena Ad is a 2nd print (the back of 4 1st print has a Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back Video game ad and #5 1st print has a lego ad.)
MANY 3, 4, & 5 (2nd prints) have been graded by CGC as 1st prints because they are not clearly marked as such... all triangle price boxes (issue 1, 2, & 3) are 1st prints.

Great to deal with! Purchased some figures from him and he went above and beyond!!!!
A+ all the way. Thank you!
I wanna start chasing Marvel 2nd prints...

If, during your quest, you find a 2nd print of (Marvel's) GI Joe #21 you get ahold of me for some serious offers!
To my knowledge it is the only GI Joe book I do not own and I have been looking for it for a decade! I'm starting to think this only exists in the land of unicorns!!! 1st and 3rd prints are common; 2nd print apparently non-existent.
(my OCD is going to drive me to the crazy house!!! )
