Looks like an excellent book to practice your restoration magic on.  I see a bunch of black marks on the back cover that can be easily erased with your awesome ink removing skills.

For now everyone is just using me to get the next joke... on every thread i make, is turning to harassment for a while. I will really get out of here it give me absolutely no addition in life, no hapiness just time lost...

I also realized that you are always the guy around my threads, i tought you follow my profil to see any of my post... its such a bad trend, obsessive trend, maybe you need to get some help too.

    1. This was an arrival date.  It is NOT a mistake that typically counts against the condition grade.  (tsk)
    2. The ink loss resulting from your "cleaning" WILL be treated as a condition-lowering defect.  Hence, the arrival date was NOT removed "with success."

I'd encourage you to practice with beaters rather than copies that are "really nice ... overall."  :foryou:

Its personal, i dont care of these little indiscernible ink loss, at contrary writing on covers are the kind of defect that i absolutely hate... this copy is to keep for myself so i prefer it like this... however thanks for the advise if a day i have it on a comics to sell

Right! I'm sure this is an issue of my misunderstanding a currency conversion or something, but is this lot $45,000? Or $500? At $45, I'd at least consider it, but I don't see anything there that would really blow my skirt up.

    45K.

The Batman 134 is one of my own favourites!

Same for me, one of my friend collect only the "new look batman" about 1964, and he often use this book as exemple to explain me why the older books are poor... we will never agree on it... for me the Batman into typical SF adventures is the best. I  would really like to own this book a day, but first in my wishlist is #113 i think.

  6. That could be a really great opportunity, i just still hesitate because they r not seems to be bags and boarded... what do you think?

1,970 issues, with postage to Switzerland, assuming you can find many of the first 200 or so... talk yourself down man! lol

Few weeks ago i looked trough the Australian Ebay, some really nice collection and not too expensive for sale... however the early books are really really rare, its probably harder to complete a GA run of the Phantom than Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman.

Not that I'm aware of. Significant stories have been reprinted several times over and I don't see "first Devil" or any similar things driving up demand for those issues.

While I'm here, and mostly because of this thread, I picked up a recent copy at the newsagent yesterday. This one retells the origin of today's Phantom, with new artwork and a story that reads a bit like a Batman and Commissioner Gordon sort of relationship between The Phantom and Diana Palmer's Police Officer father. I really enjoyed it.

The splash panel on the opening page is a ripper, and contains the classic opening panels of old Phantom stories.

Now I have to resist any urge to start collecting this series!

Dont just speak for yourself... lol

    Too much temptation...
