  1. this is the first comic posted in the rarest romance thread! Your memory is better that mine. Now if I can only get the rest of the books posted in that thread.
  2. Now that has to be a satisfying collection to finally complete. Congrats. I love seeing them all posted in one place and there are some that I haven't seen before.
  3. Thanks - I'm looking for those 10-pagers in color (as long as the inking isn't too bad). The Fantagraphics books Sqeggs mentioned are great. Definitely keepers for me. I just checked mine and so far they reprint the Barks stories from WDC & S #80-177. Also all the Four Colors, Giants, etc... from the same time period.
  4. Great looking copy of one of my favorite covers. Zolnerowich is one of those artists that I hadn't heard of before starting to collect GA books about 8 years ago. He quickly became one of my favorite cover artists. I haven't seen much of his interior work though and look forward to seeing some posted in this thread.
  5. I'm pretty sure a boardie posted a slabbed book where CGC noted the artist as "Zolne Rowich".
  6. #20-22 had Baker/Osrin stories in each. Here's a #21 with the final 3 pages of the 3rd Baker story.
  7. I don't think there've been any Lassie's posted in this thread yet. Here's #31. I picked up a 1-36 run (pre-photo covers) from Scrooge a few years ago and had a great time reading them straight through. I made some upgrades since then but that was one of my best "bang for my buck" comic purchases I ever made.
  8. Cap #1 would be on my short list of all time great comics but I'd rather own a nice looking 4.0 than this one. Not that I could afford either though.
  9. What a pretty copy. My favorite Centaur cover.
  10. The Golden Helmet is one of the best Barks stories, certainly in my top 5. He followed it up with the Gilded Man (FC 422), another great one. Those two ended his DD FC run with a bang. One of my favorite comic panels ever is the one where the ducks find the helmet, seen through the binoculars of Azure Blue. I love the point of view switch just before the discovery of the helmet.
  11. I was a big fan of Paul BEFORE seeing these. Every one of them is excellent.
  12. Some great back covers shown so far (except for the foot ). I've always really liked the Kelly Fairy Tale Parade back covers.
