  1. I've never seen the Joker, Georgie or Kelly's. All great books.
  2. One of my few Fawcett's. I really like the greens on this issue but wish my scanner wouldn't make it look like Nyoka has a skin disease.
  3. That's a great looking copy and one of my favorite Baker's as well.
  4. Diamond Run. Right. That's the one I was thinking of. I think Sherwood also, but not sure.
  5. I agree, nice book. I also love the date stamp. One year anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack.
  6. That's one hell of a post Hemi. Great write up and obviously great looking books.
  7. +1 Would love to see those posts Hemi. It would be a fitting treatment for such a great run of books.
  8. Nice rick, I have the 1 and 4 (the 2 and 3 are toughies) That cover on the 4 is so bad, it cracks me up! Great group shot. You can send the 2 and 3 my way if you ever get embarrassed by having westerns in your collection.
  9. Has a Centaur looking cover on this one.Congrats on them! Frank Thomas did most or all of these Owl covers and some great Centaur covers at about the same time (like KDF #20). Some great covers in that Owl run. Congrats on completing them Strawman.
  10. Great looking book. I really liked the Heath art in AK #2 so I'm glad to see adamstrange give his approval on the Heath art in this one. Moves it up higher on my want list.
  11. That is awesome Marty. Thanks for sharing it.
  12. What a great painting by Heshka and I like the way you sum up your feelings for it also. It would be great to sit back in your old age (many years from now) and just be able to look up at the painting and have it remind you of all the great collecting experiences you've had.
  13. This is now MY book ...thanks Bill. It was nice to see you again... Nice pick up and a great looking cover. The mountains in the background remind me of the Superstition Mts. near Phoenix. We could see the Superstitions from where we made the comic deal...and a Roadrunner... No wagon train, but we were next to an Indian casino...

  15. Nice books Marty. There can't be many comics where the star is tied to a tree in his long johns. Or where a horse gets dialogue. Which ends up to be "Hmmm Ye Ye Ye". Intense! Marty you sure picked up a lot of books back in the day! When I first started reading Hi-Yo Silvers, I tried to pronounce every word in the "horse dialog" and thought it was the stupidest and most irritating thing I ever read. After a few pages I started mentally replacing the "horse dialog" with real horse whinnies and neighs. I've enjoyed the books from then on, though I'd be embarrassed to read them out loud.
  16. I bought one of those D & D Fire Elementals for my little brother many years ago. That snowman should look more worried.
  17. Nice books Marty. There can't be many comics where the star is tied to a tree in his long johns.
  18. Talk about your news stand fresh copy. Those bright colors on that super white background make for a very pretty book. Merry Christmas Doc and to everyone else out there. Have a great day.
  19. I love the interior of the Going Back Home For Christmas.
  20. Thanks. I would have been disappointed in the grade if I was the one that submitted it. It's found a permanent home though.
  21. Thanks for the interior pics Boot. What pedigree is the Golden West Love #1 from? Sorry, dw, I should have been more clear... Well, it could have been one that Chuck accidentally sat on while driving away from the Church residence.
  22. Thanks guys and I think I'd be the one if you didn't miss it G.A.tor.
