  1. LAST PRICE REDUCTION! $100 for all 6 games!
  2. Comic book history and comic book fandom history are 2 totally separate topics!
  3. Who here knows the answer to all these questions without internet help? 1. Backup story in Boy Commandos #1? 2. 1st appearance of Toro? 3. Cover date of Amazing Spider-Man #14? 4. Opening line to Saga #1? Answers below... . . . . . 1. Liberty Belle. . 2. Human Torch # 2(1) . 3. July 1964 . 4. Am I sh*tting? It's not easy to know everything about everything!
  4. There are a lot of boardies with decades of experience and knowledge! Some are specialized in 1 or 2 specific areas and then there are those who basically cover all of comics history.
  5. I'm the current high bidder on the Batman #251 at ONE WHOLE dollar (not including buyers commission, tax & shipping)!
  6. I'm the current high bidder on the Marvel Comics #1 at 10 TIMES cover price!!!!!!
  7. Cool idea! Thing #13 was one of my 1st 7 books. Luckily I got a page from it and 1 panel on that page is based off the cover!
  8. Bump! We can more than double the current donated amount if someone would only buy this 1 book!
  9. I have 2 Transformers covers here in CAF. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1487067 https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1490390
  10. You might want to have the Amazing Fantasy #15 re-encapsulated by cgc as their label is wrong! The label says "Centerfold & page 12 missing, does not affect story. INCOMPLETE." The centerfold actually contains several story pages, so it DOES affect story! I'm surprised cgc missed that one!
  11. To help Paul, I will put up the San Francisco Copy of All-Flash Comics #8 CGC 9.6 White Pages for $8000, of which $3000 will go to Paul's fundraiser. The SF is by far the Highest Graded Copy. The pages couldn't be any whiter!!! The Mile High Copy of #8 is only a restored CGC 7.0. For comparison, I used to own the San Francisco Copy of All-Flash Comics #10 CGC 9.6 & it sold way back in 2004 for $8050! Hope this helps! West
  12. I did the same thing at his age, except I did it with Golden Age comics and pedigrees. I got the art bug in 2006 and have been lucky enough to get some A level pieces. Still on the hunt!
  13. Would you rather have a $1,000,000 Ferrari in your garage taking up space that you can never drive or a $50,000 Corvette that you can do anything you want with?
  14. I'd take the art as the rules don't say I can't will it to my kids who can sell it upon my death.
  15. Picked up some really good Spider-Man pages and covers this year. Pretty happy overall!
  16. I've got a few good ones! X-Men DSP with Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, Banshee, Colossus, Phoenix, Beast, Magneto & Dr. Doom! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1311085 X-Men DPS featuring Wolverine! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1401404
  17. Back then they sold for an average of about $7300 per page. I'm not sure of the going rate back then for Ditko as I was not into OA back then, but clearly it has come a LONG way!
  18. I'll tell you this, the entire 22 page issue to #10 sold for $161,000 in 2001. If I had the money back then (which I did!) would I have paid $180,000 to get it? Seems like a dumb question to ask now. Who wouldn't?
  19. Prime art seems to go up at about that rate! Nothing seems to be better than Prime Spider-Man Ditko art!
